Glad you have come back to The Warning. I think we all figured you would like them. I think most of us will say that live is their magic sauce. I also think that some of their best writing is in the pre- and post-chorus. Yeah, their music makes you want to get up and move.

This song is about feeling so overwhelmed by your emotions that they suffocate you, making it hard to escape. It captures the sense of hopelessness and the desire to let go, to sink deeper into the pain rather than fight it. There's a feeling of wanting to be consumed by the intensity of it all, even if it means drowning in those emotions.
The fact that the”Choke” video has the most views of The Warning’s OMVs due to a quirk of fate. Their 3rd album had a slow rollout because of the pandemic and for a long time this was the only released song from that album. This album was also the 1st to be released after the band signed to a major record label and this song got pushed and even got some radio play. Every fan has their favourite songs and, as others have said, The Warning has no bad songs, but this song isn’t in the top half of the best songs from this album, let alone of all their songs, at least for me. Also I’m not a huge fan of the production on this album and the live versions have always been better. Live is their superpower and I’ve seen them live 3 times.

Nearly all of their videos are very metaphorical. If you're a literalist, you're going to be led astray. ALWAYS look for a deeper meaning. I've seen a few reactors go off the deep end worrying about the band's mental health and sanity. These kids are about the most stable rockers on the planet.

They played that concert last year, so grab any of those songs... Similar to KORN, they rarely construct their songs to work in guitar solos (in fact, KORN has never worked in a solo), but make no mistake, Dany can shred. Most of the time they do vocal breakdowns, or drum-bass breakdown rather than solos.
As good as this song is, their live performances might even be better. Check out any song from their 2023 Pepsi Center concert. I don't know if they have any songs that would be considered B-sides, as silly as that seems.
Might be because CDs and digital music don't have any B-sides as EP's had back in the '60s - '80s. 🤣 You actually had to flip the disc when changing songs.
I love the videos from the Pepsi center but there are performances at the Teatro Metropolitan tthat are too good to miss as well , Pau ( the drummer) as a way of stealing the show when she is highlightted and brought out front and she does it twice in each show on differetn songs. Dany ( guitar and usually lead vocal) is always amazing and captivating , she sings each song with such emotion and feeling.
Dany can shred if the song needs it. However, The Warning isn't about showing off their enormous talent because that is self-evident in their composition, their performance and their stage presence. What IS important to them is to ensure the arrangement and the roll of the instruments serve the song, not the other way around.
Most other rock bands write their songs around a guitar solo. These girls do just the opposite. IF there is room in the song for a guitar solo, then they will add one. No flash and dance here.
IDK how you and others too, not just you, can react to these bands for the first time when you’re talking all over the video. Comments like about whether the “Girl drowned or not” and other comments you made were pointless and nonsensical and on top of that, you make them while the band is playing!!! How about listening to the video and then giving your reaction afterwards so you won’t sound so clueless?!? Maybe read through the lyrics beforehand so you’re not so lost.
nah people def told me to read the lyrics first I totally forgot that part lol. If I just sit there and ooh and Ahh to the video or the song there's no real point in making a video imo. The point of this video is to yap. It aint scripted so yeah some stuff I say will be wrong/nonsensical. That's just the type of reaction video we doing here. But thanks for the feedback :D
