This song just sums up the "vibe" of the 90's. I miss those days so much and feel sorry for this generation that didn't get to experience that type of life, free from all the social media bullshit.
This, man. Totally this. People's lives are so filled up with minute to minute garbage, that they don't experience any intensity in any single moment anymore. Strip all the garbage and life becomes meaningful again. I haven't seen this in 20 years and it's true, it showcases that time when there were no smartphones to occupy every moment of your time and you took the time, no, you simply had the time, to be totally into a person.
Me too! When I watched the video for the first time I was 12. I grew up as an only child with two working parents so I was alone most of the time. Just hoping to one day find a relationship like in the video. A strong and honest relationship with a person that shares your love. And I was so happy because I was so confident one day I’ll have a life like this. Well, I don’t and never had. So coming back to this song leaves me with strange emotions combined: sweet nostalgia mixed with resignation and sadness.

Hard to believe it is already 25 years since this came out, plus that iconic vid that always reminds me of young love and the swealtering summer of 98.

The manicured lawns and the clean street. l can still smell all of this. And the people. Undistracted by anything except what they are doing. l miss this the most.
I discovered this song in 2008 around the time I met an incredible girl my junior year of college. We started out as friends; we'd drive around until 4am just talking. We'd watch movies all night until one of us fell asleep. We'd spend every minute we could with each other. Eventually it was obvious we both had feelings for each other well beyond just being friends. We started dating in 2010 and we're still together and still madly in love. This song reminds me so much of those early years where friendship became love; the video drives that home even more. Beautiful.

Reading the comments on how mark and I touched a lot of people made me realize that spreading love to the world might be a higher calling for myself. I feel unapologetic about this time period in my life. Mark and I are actually still friends and keep in touch!
Seeing this video after so many years just brought me back to the nineties, watching mtv early in the morning before leaving home. Felt in love with this one. So much memories. Thanks Air ❤️
Have always adored this song, its always made me feel very melancholic. However watching the video for the first time in years this morning it has brought such sadness tinged nostalgia of young love and life around this time... Tears welled in my eyes sitting at my desk this morning! It was lovely seeing the msgs in the comments from the lady who was in the video as an older teenager, was quite touching.
In a world of self centred people I wonder how it would be if we all just gave and looked out for each other. I love this song and version, it helps and has stayed with me all my life regardless of the circumstance. Even at my lowest point I know that love exists. Peace all.

One of the most amazing songs ever created. It’s truly timeless after over 30 years! I had no idea until today that Air made any videos. l think this girl is super cute, but they way she looks at him when he's appreciating her and she's about to cry, makes her so much more special. That's the love l want.
I am old, I grew up in the 70's. Pink Floyd Animals tour was my first concert. When the 80's hit I thought there will never be music as good as the 70's, then came the 90's, wow. 70's and 90's are my favorite music decades (and into the 2000's). I've gotten tired of zombies walking around staring at their hand... In 2003, give or take a year, I was fortunate enough to see Air in Phoenix (music is a drug to me and I need to score) at an unscheduled stop between LA and NY (I don't think they liked the US too much). Can't believe they stopped in our cowboy town but I'm so glad they did. It was an awesome show at the Marquis, like 300 peeps, and after every tune they played they got grand applause and you could see how surprised they were that they could be that popular in a "old hick town" in America haha.
All young people are beautiful. The trick is to remain so while the world knocks bits off you..hopefully the rougher, unnecessary bits, leaving you transparently, uncynically beautiful when you are old.
I went to Ventura and skatestreet where the video was filmed around this time. I was 16 and this brings back insane nostalgia as I haven't been able to find the official video until now... My 41st birthday! What the hell happened to time!!!!
ive always wanted to know that spot, what is the name of the outdoor skatepark, that looks like its next to soccer fields, and location if you remember?
Not only is this my favourite song of all time, but the music at 2:50 is the best electronica I have ever heard. This is the best song of the last 60 years, no contest.
This tune is called 'All I Need', it was originally released by Air on their 1998 album 'Moon Safari'. I still have the CD I bought almost 20 years ago. Good times.
@@meedily If you had actually purchased it, as we did 20 plus years ago, (since we had no other choice and could not 'download it for free' ) you might've valued it more. Music, that is.
4:06 This. This is absolutey precious. If you become afraid to argue because of her/his reaction (still after months or years), for me there is no trust, no true love. I lived that and its an horrible growing feeling. I loved her with all my soul but she kept every agument or debate, even the silliest ones in her head and continued to be mad at me. I hope I never have to go through this again with a loved one.
Moon Safari is an album that engaged immediately to my soul, whenever I listen to it I feel like going out of this world and feeling free. It's hard to describe how my whole being feels so calm and relieved, it's like channeling a new brand me in a different space and time. It's like I sense a most comfortable place to be... me. I'll always love you, forever and ever, Jean Benoit and Nicolas. Thank you. Always.
No cell phones, no social media, the closest thing to a selfie you could get was a Polaroid shot together with your friends. Fuck it was awesome, regardless of the shit that was going on at the time.
I was 18 when I got my chance for ALL I NEED. Here I am now, 18 years of missed chances later, listening to this song - send from that same person I met 18 years ago. All I need.
this song feels like a hot sunday afternoon in late 80's britain when shops closed and there was nothing to do...that's what it brings to mind and that sounds boring but i love the song but that background hum just brings me back to going around my girlfriends house for dinner...it's boiling hot outside...the tarmac is giving off a heat haze and there's hardly any traffic on the roads...music is the only thing that inspires such intense memories in people and each person has a different experience.
Same mood as “destiny” bey Zero 7, although I was born 2002 I feel all the nostalgia, love end 90s/early 2000s trip hop & Neo soul. A movie that describes it all “lost in translation” by Sofia Coppola and never forget also from 2003 “Frank” by 20 year old Amy Winehouse…
This is my favourite music video ever. It is simple, honest, meaningful in absolutely the best way, sentimental in the proper way... it is totally perfect.
If anyone can recoemmend another album AS perfect as this, as interesting and layered then I'd love to hear. I have never stopped loving this album ever,
I grew up in the suburbs , and i moved to nyc after high school . i was born in the bronx and the differences are like night and day. I will always love the suburbs.
The first contact that I had with air was watching the virgin suicides movie. I used to hear this song and think about a love I never had, and how great it would be to have some one special with you. Today, I have some one special with me. And it is a way better than I could imagine. I love her so much! Love is great!
@PetShopMod thank you for the kind words! Test all of our feelings were very real. None of this was fake. This is who we were the town we lived in and the life we lived.
Love the brother’s STYPER shirt. 80’s kid. They were not mainstream. But they could rock. They toured and opens for some big bands. After a decently long life… I can easily and wholeheartedly say that Jesus is all that really matters. Everything else is simply dust… smoke… vapors… memories.

It was an awesome show at the Marquis, like 300 peeps, and after every tune they played they got grand applause and you could see how surprised they were that they could be that popular in a "old hick town" in America haha.
The most beautiful song in the world
All young people are beautiful. The trick is to remain so while the world knocks bits off you..hopefully the rougher, unnecessary bits, leaving you transparently, uncynically beautiful when you are old.
Youth is wasted on the young
@@phero2 do you think you've wasted your youth?
I went to Ventura and skatestreet where the video was filmed around this time. I was 16 and this brings back insane nostalgia as I haven't been able to find the official video until now... My 41st birthday! What the hell happened to time!!!!
ive always wanted to know that spot, what is the name of the outdoor skatepark, that looks like its next to soccer fields, and location if you remember?
@@seanmulcahy7895 Avenue Skatepark :) Just searched for it analysing frames of the video and streetview :)
It was the avenue skatepark at the west park community center on the west end of town
I lost this song for about 10 years
so glad I found it again.
Good times.
Seems, as usual lately with RUclips, that they pulled out all the versions with the original videos. Hate when that happens.
same here bro, this and Portishead's Dummy are 2 of my fave LP's ever
tape
I downloaded this for free. It's not a bad album.
Not a Trumper, but that sounds like a Hillary supporting maniac to me.
@@ColtraneTaylor She had flaws but not to the point of being american
A breathtaking song with a breathtaking video. Thank you Air. You've changed many lives around the world for the better.
All I Need was my introduction to Air and I am so grateful for it.
Thank you. Always.
every time i hear this tune i want to cry.
FUCKING CLASS!!
Same here don
Every time i hear this tune, i do cry
The video - great. But the song…unparalleled. It’s peerless. Perfect.
Goose bumps everytime.
All I need.
Do you think the person sending you this particular song is trying to tell you something? Maybe even something important?
played this at our wedding , 20 years ago... time flies.
2:32 Everyone deserves to be looked at like that once in their lives 🥲❤
this song feels like a hot sunday afternoon in late 80's britain when shops closed and there was nothing to do...that's what it brings to mind and that sounds boring but i love the song but that background hum just brings me back to going around my girlfriends house for dinner...it's boiling hot outside...the tarmac is giving off a heat haze and there's hardly any traffic on the roads...music is the only thing that inspires such intense memories in people and each person has a different experience.
Magical evening feeling at the end. And perfect moments back then
A fave album and All I Need has never aged.
This song proves magic exists for I have been enchanted for the last 20 years. Thank you!
One of the absolute greatest videos to match perfectly to a truly beautiful song. Work of art within art.
One of my fav songs.
This is how i imagined life would be when i grew up
Takes me back to '98. Love the nostalgic feeling❤
This is my all time favourite song for the rest of my life :)
There is nothing greater than loving, and feeling reciprocated, without further ado.
This is my sleep song. I hear this and fall easier to sleep. Love it
If anyone can recoemmend another album AS perfect as this, as interesting and layered then I'd love to hear. I have never stopped loving this album ever,
i would suggest Goldfrapps seventh tree album
@@whatsleft100 MAny thanks!!
@@whatsleft100 A million thanks I am 4 tracks in and had to swing back around..... we need to be friends
for me, this is one of the best music videos ever created...
i remember watching it as a child.
this is real art.
how the hell is this comment from 7 years ago but it says the video was uploaded in 2016
we got a time skipper lmaooooooooooo
Agreed
In all my years listening to this track, album and Air in general, ive somehow never seen this!
i discovered Air a couple of months back and wow...where have they been all my life?
This video / song makes me nostalgic for a place I never knew
I love this song. This video clip is perfect: so simple and so affective. Congratulations from a Brazilian fan!
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS DAMN SONG FOR 20 YRS GODDAMNIT!!!
AND JUST NOW IT WAS ON THE RADIO AND I SHAZAAMED IT QUICKLY
First Single I bought in my life reaching 37. 😊😊🔥
Same, 39
That bassline is following me since I was 13. Now I play it on my bass myself every now and then. :D
Moon Safari is a masterpiece of musical masterpieces.
I remember witnessing their love when i was 17. Now i am 42, wow... This beauty in essence has never left me. Thank you ❤
I grew up in the suburbs , and i moved to nyc after high school . i was born in the bronx and the differences are like night and day. I will always love the suburbs.
Beautiful!
The first contact that I had with air was watching the virgin suicides movie.
I used to hear this song and think about a love I never had, and how great it would be to have some one special with you.
Today, I have some one special with me. And it is a way better than I could imagine. I love her so much!
Love is great!
Very very very underrated tune. Captured my 90s so well.
@PetShopMod thank you for the kind words! Test all of our feelings were very real. None of this was fake. This is who we were the town we lived in and the life we lived.
Came back to this video as Air played in Dublin tonight and I wish I could have went . Loved moon safari brings me back to better times in my 20s
It should be noted that the song title is "All I need".
Moon Safari is the album's name...
come on "airofficial" guys, you should know that perfectly!
They still don't know!
Yep
I bought the CD in 99, which had the video clip as an extra. Watch it whenever i feel down. It has a lot of sentiment for me.
I love this. One of my favourite songs
90s vibe - people had to talk to each other. There was no phone. People didn't know where anybody else was.
