Great job. Iris is amazing. Been a fan since first heard "Easy's Gettin' Harder Every Day" in the mid nineties. Love her voice. Her version of "Whispering Pines" is soooooo good. I wasn't familiar with this song though. That voice! In a way it reminds me somewhat of Patty Griffin in her delivery. The ability to sing a really sad song without sounding... Self-,pitying. Thanks for introducing me to a truly great song.
Set it on 11 and add more cowbell! This really is in a place all its own. I've known about Iris and liked her for some time. I had no idea she could write like this. Wonderful.

I have never heard this one before. I went looking to see if she wrote it (she did) but I found out that Merle Haggard covered it so I listened to that too. It's good but not as good as Iris.
@@lindanicholson950 I would recommend anything off of the "My Life" album. It is one of my all-time favorites. I think it has a least one more "10" on it.

Iris did write the song and what a masterpiece it is . I really like Joe Nicole’s rendition the best.
I loved Merle's version of this song from 1996.
She has so many great songs like "Mystery To Me," "My Life," Mama's Opry," "If That Ain't Love" and "When My Mornin' Comes Around" to name a few.
These are all my favourite ❤❤
