Moloch IS A DEMON. The priest can't kill him IN ANY WAY. He banished him BACK TO HELL!!! Therefore, he may be glad. Moloch is not dead, he just returned back to hell, where he will obviously be waiting for all those who opposed him.
Also in the bible it says: That Moloch, a Canaanite deity associated in biblical sources with the practice of child sacrifice THAT IS PROBABLY WHY MOLOCH WANTED THE CHILDREN 19:59
13:00 If you look closely, Ignacio has a revolver, and I wouldn’t doubt this guy and the fact he has other weapons stashed in his house other than a shotgun and revolver. And from the look of the interior of his house and the fact he has boarded up windows, and from the fact he has possession of weapons, I’m gonna say that he knows combat to. This guy also has anger issues, so I wouldn’t underestimate him 🤔
Actually, the Candy Dealer first appeared in episode 3, Unwanted Guest (which is also the last time we saw Moloch, which I'm sure isn't just a coincidence).
11:34 He technically is because he only spares Skid and Pump due to him possibly being old friends with Lila or due to the fact that Lila would probably kick his ass if she EVER found out he kidnapped them.
22:52 I love how Father Gregor is like "LEAVE THAT LOLLIPOP ALONE, CHILDREN!!" acting like the lollipop is a person and completely ignoring the fact that they stepped on a kid
Notice how even eyes, an eldritch creature/monster that can see everything and names himself "eyes of the univerese", still can't resist spooky month (as seen in episode 2 "the stars")
Theory: Ignacio knows about the cult (no clue if he can directly talk to them) and ratted out Father Gregor to them either directly if he does know or indirectly by contacting the Mayor, who is not only connected to them but in some theories is one of its most important members, dude ordered some hobos to dismantle the church when they "dealt" with him
FYI, the mayor first appeared in the last episode, Tender Treats, where he chews out Sheriff John and Deputy Jack for not being on top of catching the recently escaped Bob Velseb. Father Gregor is a unique and compelling character. He seems like a strict hardass, and he kind of is, but his intentions are ultimately pure and well-meaning (though I don't blame Kevin for being suspicious about an old man, and a priest no less, hanging around a couple of young boys). The fact that he's the one who ultimately saves the day just makes his criticism of Lila much harder to hear, because he kind of has a point when it comes to letting her son wind up in a lot of dangerous situations unsupervised. Part of me hopes he survives his encounter with The Eyes of the Universe (from episode 2), but I kind of doubt it. 17:45 - "Who are you?!" As the subtitles indicate, that's Zach Hadel, AKA PsychicPebbles, animator, occasional co-host on Oney Plays, and co-creator of the Adult Swim show Smiling Friends. The fact it says "Literally Zach" is because what the character just did is basically Zach's normal behavior (and I love it!) Moloch, the demon from the first three episodes, returns in full form here. I admittedly thought he was done when he snapped his own neck while possessing Dexter's body, though I like that they brought him back to give him a proper send-off. Also, I recently found out that Moloch is an actual Biblical demon, a Canaanite god for whom worshiping him involved child sacrifices, which explains why he seems so... "interested" in children and infants. Also his appearance is based on typical Jewish depictions of the demon, with cloven hoofs and a furnace in his pelvis. Kind of a badass look, NGL. It's just kind of a shame that, despite being more dangerous than ever, Father Gregor easily overpowers him (whenever Skid and Pump aren't there to interfere, anyway). Maybe it's just me, but I felt legitimately sad seeing Skid and Pump cry over Moloch's death (or banishment, whatever happened). Not to mention, I'm sure as a single mother, Lila worries about her parenting skills a lot, so to hear someone criticize her for being an irresponsible parent, basically echo her worst feels about herself back at her, it must be devastating, especially since she was already stressed out. All that combined with the subject matter of Pump's parents never being around and Skid's dad not being there, it makes this a rather depressing episode with a bit of a downer ending... Not that this makes the episode bad, far from it, but man, heavy stuff. ...That spider really caught my attention, though. I noticed that in previous episodes, any time the mannequin in the attic go knocked down, it'd get set back up again or move seemingly on its own. I thought a ghost was possessing it or something, but it turns out it was this big spider living there. I get the feeling it's going to be the subject of a future episode... Also, I didn't notice this until now, but there's a bucket of mush in the attack with eyes that move around... I think those are the remains of the melted Happy Fella doll, meaning that Dexter is still technically possessing it, but can do nothing but just look around him, which is kind of messed up. Lastly, I'm not sure what to say about that post-credits scene, other than I never would have guessed that those two burglars would be associated with the cult, given how incompetent they are. Seeing the Candy Dealer from episode 3 come back was cool, though.
You can actually see the spider in episode 4, there's a scene of the Happy Fella in the attic, and in the ceiling you can see her, and it's fucking Massive
I think this Eldridge being is supposed to be god? ( I say it lower case bc it isn’t confirmed if that is what they actually mean. ) But Sr. Pelo is extremely talented in making lore and images in the background that can build further upon that lord. For example, one of the cultist’s hoods is in Skid’s attic, along with other stuff that belongs to his father. Meaning the family had ties with the cult.
Quick note in one of the pictures where we can see Skid dad he has a golden ring with a green gem and in the NG (Newgrounds) ending where they cultists appear the picture behind them appears a guy with the same gold ring with green gem in the middle
