Age of the ring is the best lord of the rings mod for an rts game ever. And I’m glad you noticed that Gandalf can’t do wizard blast on shadowfax but instead has a hero pin while mounted. The best lord of the rings experience in my opinion will be with age of the ring.
I've found the best way (for now) is to just line the various switchers up on my desktop in order. So if I want AotR I just click then from left to right and if I want Edain I just do the second row of shortcuts, also left to right. Helps me keep it straight.
I like Rohan on AotR. My brother and I would do Rohan and Gondor vs. a deathmarch ai. It works pretty well if the guy getting attacked puts up a ton of wall arrow towers and the other one builds a bigger army.
I think the AI is good with some races and not very good with others. If you play against Dol Guldur for example you’ll get instantly overwhelmed even on the easiest difficulty haha

it's recommended to install the games as you would normally from revorra as the 2.22 launcher has been seen to cause some pathing issues with the mod. When you install the base games from revorra you can setup aotr quick.
Pretty sure you can’t. But literally just cause some petty shit. Apparently the launcher devs and the age of the ring devs have beef or else it would already be in the launcher lol. But maybe in the future
