Just a friendly FYI, Wim Wenders is pronounced Vim Venders. Don't make the same mistake I did for 10+ years lol.

chemicalbrotha78 Gosh what a regrettable mistake. I should’ve assumed that. Thanks for letting me know lol

To me this film is perhaps the most accurate depiction of loneliness ever caught on film. One of the few films where it manages to tell a brilliant visual story while using dialogue as way to unravel the mystery of the past of the main characters. The opening alone feels like something straight out of a poem describing the vast empty american landscape while a lost soul with no destination travels through it.This film is a fucking masterpiece and Ry Cooper's score gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.

Great film. The only other Wenders films I've seen are The American Friend (1977) and Until the End of the World (1991), with the latter being a 5 HOUR LONG road movie! I'd definitely recommend them if you want to watch another film by Wenders, they're very much worth checking out.

A Tail Of Two Kittens made me cry too 😭🤣👌🔥 also this film is very Lit 👌🔥 Wim Wender (pronounced Vim Venders, he's German) has made some good stuff but this is his best.

This is a great film. Check out Wings of Desire, you'll love this one too. He's also got a couple of great documentaries as well - Buena Vista Social Club & The Salt of the Earth.

Excellent review! 25 years after first seeing it and it's still my favourite film. Don't forget Ry Cooder's soundtrack! In my opinion, one of the finest musical accompaniments to any film in terms of tone, atmosphere and emotional charge.

Paris Texas is a film classic. Well regarded and an international success. Won the Palm in '84 when it came out.

Wim Wenders and Werner Herzog had been the stars (next to R.M. Fassbender who is not very well known outside Europe) of German "Autorenfilm". You forget to mention the fantastic soundtrack by Ry Cooder... And the child actor was also realy great.

"Simplistic" means overly simple to the point of the ridiculous. I think MP means "simple" in terms of sraightforward clarity.

Yea you’re right. I say simplistic quite a but didn’t mean what I thought it meant. Appreciate it. I’ll just say simple from now on. Cause I definitely don’t want it to mean something negative
