Got the 160 6K myself, in long and I'm nearly 6'2, didnt even need to adjust the Team TR seatpost, I just dropped it slightly in the frame and run it at full height when not playing. It climbs so well in the saddle, goes down almost like a downhill bike and for me inspires a lot of confidence, especially when the going gets fast
Im looking at a 160 because i race enduro. But i have a tight budget and will only be able to afford one bike. I was just wondering in the 160 was still playful and agile enough at slower speeds and on less steep trails which are tighter and twistier.
@ajackofspades you can do long or X-long. It's really down to riding style. Slightly shorter for the playful stuff or slightly longer for the enduro performance

Um, great bikes no question )_ I own the Big Trail 500 (2021) and can vouch for there frame - tough as. However, I do question the lifetime warrantee though. In Australia at least they only warrantee the new 140\160s for 5 years.
Hey buddy, Lifetime warranty applies to all models which aren't Category 5 rated (Majority of models) There are only a few select models which are covered by the more limited 5 year warranty, and with this said the category 5 warranty actually covers race, free ride and BikePark use properly so is a mega warranty indeed! Thanks for your comment. 🙂enjoy the Big Trail it is a brilliant bike!
Nice man, I got the merida big trail 500 recently aswell. It feels like such a nice bike to ride. Their brand seems to fit the kind of bikes I like so I was looking to maybe save up for one of these as an enduro bike in the distant future.

Are you saying Long was the best choice? Im usually an XL, 6ft2 as well. But the sizing for the one-sixty suggests I get a long?

Great review guys. Thank you for the loan of that very Merida 140. I can confirm the thing absolutely shreds. Incredible bit of kit
Thanks dude! buzzing that you had a great time riding it 🙂

Class! I’m getting one 💨
Do Ittttt!
I have Merida 140 , it's a brilliant bike .
Not sure why they stopped using their float link rear suspension, I have it on my one twenty 3000 and its great, it really does feel bottomless
Great review! I’m awaiting delivery of my 160 however what’s the rear slx hub like? Is it silent? I would prefer it not to be silent 😂

Nice 👌🏻
Cheers Shaun!
What do you think about 180+27,5" in the front in this bike + single speed, as a bike park/jibduro build?
(or should I wait for what's to come later this year)?
These bikes look like Rocky Mountain Instinct and Altitude.
They ride insanely good!
These bikes seem very similar to Rocky Mountain's Altitude (160) and Instinct (140).
I don’t know what’s sexier Lee or the bikes 👀😂
Definitely The Mullet haha!
😊
P r o m o s m
Rip off. No one wants to pay that much for a merida
Even if it rides better than the costlier bike (who's frame is potentially made by Merida/Giant anyway..)?
