Maximizing credit card points and frequent flyer programs can go a long way towards helping you travel more while paying less, but there's in fact a entirely separate body of knowledge that can also help you achieve the same, which we haven't covered much yet.
The most avid travellers out there leverage a series of tips, tricks, secrets, and strategies to maximize their gains in the world of booking paid flights.
These include jumping on mistake fares whenever they become available (and they do appear quite often!), the practice of "hidden-city ticketing" to save money on flights thanks to airfare pricing mechanisms that may appear illogical at first glance, and the hush-hush world of fuel dumping which allows the truly savvy travellers out there to save 80%+ on the cost of all their flights.
In this video, I'll give you a general informational overview of this fascinating and potentially very fruitful body of knowledge - and leave it to you to pursue things further if you wish!

@@PrinceofTravel Just got my aeroplan reserve card because of your other video! I'm ready haha
lol right
Thank you for explaining fuel dumping. It's still confusing, but helped actually hearing someone explain how it works. So complicated! But if you can work a great deal, it's worth it.
I recently got into the points game from being cooped up at home and needing to satiate my hunger for travel - your videos are literally the highlight of my week Ricky!
Well that’s awesome to hear! Thanks!
Excellent video. I came across the hidden city fare a few yrs ago and couldn't understand why at the time. Since I have a flexible schedule, I was able to take advantage of many hidden city fares since. Thanks for clarifying.
This one's a banger, good job Ricky
Awesome tips man thanks for the heads up on fuel dumping

Thanks for this video! I just booked a mistake fare/fuel dumped flight (~33% savings) from Australia to South East Asia. Hope we can travel next year
I hope so too!
Second! Welcome to Vancouver!! Moved from Toronto to Vancouver years ago
great video
The prince of….. how to save money. thank you so much.
Good one. In Terms of Mistake Fares or Error Fares i took advantage of one in 2019 which brought me OW from Poland to Seoul in Business for 400€ .
In terms of Hidden City Tickets here are some interesting news: 1) Lufthansa was trying to charge extra costs from a Passenger(M&M member) for a no show on his Itinerary. i think it was something like your Example. So he skipped the last leg , bought a complete new ticket to another destination and LH got mad. The Case was taken to Court and LH lost. The Judge argued that LH did not loose any Money and that it is the passengers choice to leave. He also stated that the rules made by LH in terms of flying in sequence of ticketing are not in favour of the customers. So far i think LH has not changed the rules but in Italy it is ok to leave the plane. So you can easily fly from A - B and leave and not fly to C without any penalties. The only thing is that TICKETING HAS TO BE DONE IN ITALY and nowhere else.
Like your chanel and you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work and greetings from Germany
I do this “hidden city ticketing” very frequently. Since 2016. Primarily with American Airlines and I fly every other week. Never seemed to be an issue.
Did you attach your frequent flyer number to all the trips?
Can someone link the flyer talk thread here?
How can i get to those forums ? Which website?
Hey what site did you book those Portugal/Argentina fuel dump tickets on? doesnt look like tap airlines site.
Priceline.
My family's still too afraid to travel right now. But it seems there are a lot of deals to be found.
Maybe time for a solo trip? :) Yes, lots of good deals for those who are comfortable with the risk.
Ricky, what does C4-C2 etc mean in the thread you are talking about.
Different continents.
C1: North America
C2: Europe
C3: Asia
C4: South America
C5: Africa
C6: Oceania
Prince of Travel thank you so much
Well, as long as they don't take you to court it should be fine to go for a hidden ticket. I am looking for cheap flights from Manila to Budapest I fly every 4 years tho.
Does america airline make these mistakes?
Was able to fuel dump once. $500 lax-syd. Originally $1200
Love an error fare! I found an air china economy ticket with 2 hours in economy and with first class for 9 hours. Total price $290 🔥
who else went back to listen to La Rioja and Catamarca again and again
Ummm it dumps fuel to minimise the unintended issue of going boom, upon impact.

First!!! Welcome to my town!!!
How do you find hidden city tickets?
Skiplagged.com is a good one - the website that United tried to sue the guy for. Otherwise, trying your own combinations on Google Flights can often yield good results as well
Hi dude, I watched your video on lounges.
To clarify; realistically a normal person isnt going to get free lounge access typically. The credit cards have annual charges etc most of the time and my income isnt huge. I'm guessing It's unrealistic for me? :P
Wow i was today years old when I found out that my 60,000 miles doesn’t actually mean I can travel 60,000 but only one lousy Trip to Europe. My heart is broken lol
Hahaha. Yep. Welcome to the game of Miles & Points!
Prince of Travel thanks man your videos have a lot of gems. Great content man keep it coming!
Hidden city tickets being that disliked by airlines is honestly baffling to me
Ok so there's a flight my friends are trying to book to get to Washington DC from San Francisco. There's a hidden city flight from San Francisco to Chicago. Then Chicago to DC but that's a 35 min layover in Chicago. Does that mean they get off the plane and get on the plane heading to DC or stay on the plane waiting until it gets to DC?
If they priced fairly, they wouldn't lose out on income
I stopped at 13:04
Okay why we don't book A-C-B and get where we want and cheaper bcoz it's not direct but still can get our luggages at the right place. Bcoz your method means no luggages
😏
Hidden ticket is like cheating go transit and ttc streetcars without paying.
Not really. It's like if the TTC charged less for Finch to Union than for Finch to Bloor for some reason, and so you bought Finch to Union and got off at Bloor.
@@PrinceofTravel i just meant that its easy to cheat system if you fo it occasionally.
@@shitaocheng1527 Ah yes, fair enough
I really enjoyed watching all your vlogs! I learned lot. What is you IG to follow?
