Beautiful video and not ruined with loud, jarring music like so many other videos on RUclips. Nicely done. I left the area 21 years ago and can't believe how much it's grown just around Las Colinas. I sometimes do a virtual drive-thru or fly-thru, using Google Maps. The sprawl doesn't stop.

Glad we could help. You got out at the right time! Its developed so much its not the same. You could travel DFW freely then, no its a parking lot of traffic

@@summit-photo Haha, I guess it's a matter of perspective. It certainly has to be more congested now than ever. However, when I left in 2002, it felt pretty crowded, compared to how it was when I moved there in 1991. I guess that's just how it goes. I can't imagine what it will be like there in another 20 years. Possibly every square inch of land will be paved and be covered by either a home, apartment, highway, mall, or restaurant. Good luck there, my friend. Good luck on your channel, too. You're off to a good start.

Great video. I live in LC and this was very cool. What height was this recorded if I may ask? Does it require permission ?

      This was all under 400AGL.
It was close enough to DFW Airport, that it did require clearance

The DFW area is on track to become the third most populous area in the U.S. by 2033.

Too bad they can't build taller buildings bc of DFW Airport.

It truly is a shame! Irving is so pretty

For a overall business park the buildings are tall enough for what was and is needed there. Plus given the area they can make the buildings wider to make up for the loss of height. Most of the tall buildings are going to be push into Dallas or Fort Worth anyways. I think overall a series of mid range buildings look really nice there. Williams Tower situation in Houston is classic example that sometimes tall can look out of place, even though the building itself looks nice. I highly doubt we were going to get a Dubai look to the Los Colinas/Irving area if there was no height restrictions. That was just not the original intention and idea for that area. Either way don't get me wrong, I think that area is still under utilized, given it's overall potential.
