Tiger is so handsome. I grew up with a Kings Shephard. He was huge around 120# and not fat. .He was my best friend for 16 years. He was the smartest dog I have ever met. Taught himself to do all kinds of tricks. He was very gentle but also very protective of me. That was my first dog. I have such fond memories of him..

@@leofucarev Yes, I was very lucky. My parents got my Shepard when I was 4 years old and he was 8 weeks. So we grow up together. He was supposed to be the family watch dog, but he became just mine dog because we became very bonded to get other. He was always by my side. I remember being so proud of myself when I was around 8-9 years old being able to walk this big 120#s powerful dog around where we lived. People that didn't know us would cross the street when they saw us coming. It was pretty funny.. LOL.. I think Major (my dog) was actually walking me and he was a very friendly gentle giant.. Your Tiger looks a lot like my Major..

Haha, Simba doesn’t mess around when food’s involved-he’s got lightning-fast reflexes! 😂🐾 And yes, the cats really surprised me with their appetites too. They were all in food heaven! 😄❤

They don’t care. Whichever one they start on, they eat completely.
Haha, that’s so true! 😄 Dogs don’t overthink it-they just dive in and eat whatever’s in front of them, no matter which side they start on. Completely focused on enjoying their food!
So basically they want to eat it all, just whichever they get to first, then move onto the next. Just like our pups. The cats are pickier and won't always eat what you give them.
Exactly! 😂 Dogs are all about 'see it, eat it, repeat,' while cats are more like food critics who need everything to meet their high standards. 🐾🐱 It’s always fun to see the difference between the two-it keeps things interesting for sure! ❤

I don't think it mattered. They seemed to choose what was closest. But I can tell you Simba was the fastest of the three at the end.

In general, I noticed dogs pick things to their right. They are probably right-handed like we are.
That's an interesting observation! 🐾 It does seem like many dogs tend to favor one side more than the other, just like humans. Some studies suggest that dogs can have a dominant paw, and it might be similar to us being right or left-handed. So, in a way, they could be 'right-handed' too!

It would have greatly improved the experiment if you made them sniff each of the meat samples first, and only then allowed them to make the choice of which sample to eat.

You should have shaffled the cooked and raw meat pieces. Coz it seems that dogs and cats pick the meat that is placed closer to them, either it is cooked or raw.
That’s such a good point! 🐾😊 I’ll definitely try shuffling the pieces next time to see if they’re truly picky or just going for what’s closest. Thanks for the suggestion-it’ll be fun to test their ‘strategy’! 😂

Wonderful companions !!! Probably not advisable to be feeding them raw meat right now because of bird flu. There have been cases of fatalities from feeding raw contaminated meat.
That’s indeed a great piece of advice, however, this meat is safe for them. Thanks again for your advice!
@leofucarev cats are very different than dogs and have very different nutritional requirements. I do not live with dogs, nor have I researched their best nutritional choices. However, cats have been domesticated for thousands of years and this new trend of them going back to living more "naturally" is not necessarily a healthy choice. I respectfully suggest you do more research on the topic. Bird flu is not the only danger to them. Thank you
My dog (a female cocker spaniel) won't eat raw meat. I always have to cook meat or boil chicken.

My GSD had horrible results from eating commercial dog food but when we switched to raw his health/gut greatly improved! Now I have an Eurasier & she won’t eat raw! lol!
Finding the best diet for your pup is often a process of trial and error that takes time. We experimented with different options, but due to a recent health issue, we decided to switch back to kibble-and they’re feeling much better now.❤️

These cats and dogs will eat anything, raw, cooked, half baked, steamed, roasted, boiled, poached they don't care. They just demolish any food you give them..
