About to go to Sam Pham University, doing the entire playlist, starting from #1! Using the Aim Meter and Right Stick helped me so much with my shooting, thank you!
If you start from #1 and go in order by the end you will be way more efficient as a 2K player. Take your time with the vids and skills, learn one well then move onto the next. Have fun !
I am already very hard to beat in play now, because i am decent on offense but I am elite on defense, with your tips I think I could become one of the best play now players on the game.
It definitely is complicated, but most of it is just getting the spacing set up. You definitely have to think it through a few times before you can even start practicing it, but it gets easier once you start combining the button combos in your head into categories for each step of the process. "L1, R1, (Triangle), R1, (R2) + RS Right -> LS Left, attack basket" is way too complicated for the brain to parse in real time, so you gotta re-organize it in your head based on what it's actually doing, something like: "OK, I want my PF specifically to set a pick and fade. First I need to call positional playcalling, so L1, R1 (think of it like its own quick play, L1 brings up the quick plays and R1 activates positional playcalling). Then I can hold down my PF's icon and he'll start coming over for the pick (hold Triangle), while I wait on him I'll change the screen to a PnF instead of the PnR (hit R1). Now he's setting the screen and I have room to cut to the basket, I just need to fake to the middle (hold R2, RS right) and then drive to the outside (still holding turbo, LS left and through the gap), and attack the basket." Once you know how to do each of the sub-steps, which are all simple on their own, it becomes way easier to start thinking of the entire play as just a logical sequence of those steps. "Positional playcalling, call a PnF from the PF, fake middle & cut back through to the basket" is a lot easier to learn and practice than "L1, R1, (Triangle), R1, (R2) + RS Right -> LS Left". It's still a pain in the ass, 100%, but taking that approach and re-organizing it in your mind makes it a little bit easier. But IMO you shouldn't even worry about all that right away, I kinda disagree with his recommendation to start iso'ing dudes right away (especially with no badges or ball handling lol). I learned to play PG just by changing playcalling to Auto and following the markers, that's what I'd recommend at first, along with just doing the simple PnR (just holding L1 to get a screen) without any complicated setup - just focusing on the basics and when to cut to the hoop yourself vs. when to make the pass to the screener. Not singling you out or assuming you're new, I agree 100% with you, but just for any new players that happen to see this, since I was watching every tutorial I could find when I first started.
Casual player here and wanting to get serious. Just found your tutorial playlist very helpful. Subbed and Joined. Hope you can help me with some questions specific to our custom league too :)
You gotta very your looks. Call the screen and use the dribble while rejecting it. Or take the screen. Or use the handoff then screen if not open. He gives you multiple ways to score here
Help. Why open players stand way behind the 3pt line. By the time they gey the ball it takes 2 seconds to get to the line, gather and shoot. Pisses me off.
Hello 2K community or Sam Pham could anyone please lend some advice on how to play better defense to defend the three point line better and protect the paint, also how do you make three point shots when playing in Hall of Fame mode I can't seem to make a shot always rimming out or not hitting rim at all, and if I do luck up and get one to go it's purely by coincidence # HELP greatly appreciated!
Thought I was gonna wait for the PS5 version but since it looks like the pre-orders will be a disaster, PS4 version it is. Excited to see all your videos! And is LaMelo and everyone else in the game or no?
Yes this is step 1 lol nothing called no motion just iso drive and screens. Next layer we are gonna add in a little freelance motions. Step by step, by the end there’s actually an insane mechanic I will show you guys probably by the third layer lol is gonna make 2k crazy fun lol
Out of the subject, Save yourself and pray that God will forgive you for your sins. Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. God forgives your sins through the sacrifice of Christ. And enjoy a clear conscience, eternal life, forgiveness, and fellowship with God.

Sam Pham back in tydebo style . Everyone is going to run deep hash this year. Love it !!
Is very effective since 20. With the new dribble mechanics tho adding in an occasional middle screen makes it even better
Bro I have been scoring consistently with this thxs man💯
Does this playlist of videos still apply for next gen 2k21? Want to make sure before I start watching everything

There's so much to do on this game.
You have to push 5 buttons to set up one play, it's complicated

You took the words out of my mouth, this is ridiculous.
Thanks Sam, I havent gone past the first two moves and I'm blowing suckas out!!!
Lol
What does this little blue circle mean??Not under the player but it comes up as u Pick and Roll.. What does it mean and when it comes up?
Sam do you know if these mechanics are also good for the next gen versions? Does the game run differently?
Should I do use the shot meter this year or leave it off
How confident are your shooting with it ? Stick shooting might actually be the move is easier than timed shots
SAM WITH ANOTHER BANGER!
Make sure to come back all season for more. I will also look to get next gen 2k21 and such
Do u have any 2k21 next gen tips
I need to know how I can do a screen like in my career if my teammate needs one how do I myself do one instead of just calling it
this man is the god
Is it okay not to take out superstar at 5min per quarter games?
They pick that slip off me so much what am i doin wrong? Can u alley from holding Y??? Instead of just letting go?

I'm glad you understand it...I'm completely lost..it seems very complicated when your on a 24 second shot clock
Does this still work against hof cpu? The bucks defenders always cut me off when I try the hash drive

great breakdown. thank you!

What is hard hedge?
Can you do a tutorial for the best 4 or 5 stretch big man?
Yo Thanks for looking out for the rooks...
Always
How come when i press left on dpad i dont see freelance
I don’t have it either. Maybe you need to unlock playbook in your career progression. 🤷🏽♂️
For me it was right on the dpad. Right, L1, Square. Then L1, L1.
Thought I was gonna wait for the PS5 version but since it looks like the pre-orders will be a disaster, PS4 version it is. Excited to see all your videos!
And is LaMelo and everyone else in the game or no?
I love the chest something freelance
how do we get that freelance setting
When I press left on d pad it brings up favorite plays
@@jd8137 I dont see pass and screen on the favorite plays though
What about next gen videos
Havent played 2k in a while and I'm rusty rn smh
That was a Iot wish games will go back to how live was in the early 2000s.... This is why I quit playing video games
Gameplay tips from the DEMO 🔥
Good way to get my feet wet and ready for the full game. These will carry over nicely tho, has drive spacing for PnR is op.
Put this video in slow motion and listen to your voice in the beginning Sam, its funny.
What is “Turbo”?
R2 on PS4
Can you make a defense tutorial
Will do maybe in a week or so. Make sure to check that 2k21 playlist in future. It will be up on there for sure
Like dude O.P of course hes gonna make one,
He makes them for every 2K.
👍
If this is the first layer of an unstoppable offense we're going to be invincible with the last layer!
Yes this is step 1 lol nothing called no motion just iso drive and screens. Next layer we are gonna add in a little freelance motions. Step by step, by the end there’s actually an insane mechanic I will show you guys probably by the third layer lol is gonna make 2k crazy fun lol
nba 2k20 roster update - 60$
So u telling me the dribbling is the same as 2k20 🤦♂️
Mechanics are different. Need more momentum to trigger killing moves, hard to attack being stationary like 2k20
