Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) - Flame spread in a high-rise building 🔥

Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of flame spread in a high-rise buildings using the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) v 6.8.0 - pages.nist.gov.... The videos show the heat release per unit volume (200 kW/m3) and soot. The initial fire source on the ground is a super-fast growing fire with a maximum heat release rate of 2 MW. The burning of the items has been simplified by imposing the HRRPUA once they reach a certain ignition temperature. The video illustrates how fast flames can spread along the facade of a high-rise building if combustible material are present.
