- My foundation routine for my acne / acne scars! I get a lot of questions on how I make my skin look really even when I sometimes wear makeup so here is the routine. All these steps are very important and work so well together. Side note, I don't usually wear makeup when my skin is really inflamed.

ive never touched any makeup and have absolutely no experience using it, not to mention im 16 and have really bad but hormonal acne and this video actually made me so happy and confident that i could try makeup and actually look good for once.

I love how confident you are to be vulnerable with yourself, and the fact that even with some blemishes youre absolutely stunning, and it doesnt impact any of your features. I think thats the best thing is that acne is annoying yes, but you will still be beautiful regardless. This video was helpful thank you!

I have used colour corrector daily for years, it's a miracle worker, especially if you have acne and rosacea.

@k yeah, so many people say “you’re still pretty even with all your acne!” And i feel like it breaks me inside, I just want people to ignore my acne and when they say that it just reminds me that every one can see it and every one knows it’s there. Even with or without makeup. I know they have good intentions but it’s really the worst thing you can say.

Like Im just trying to exist, but it’s great to know other people are constantly judging my skin 😭. ‘Even with all ur acne’ just furthers the image people have of acne being something terrible and ugly. Which sucks cuz a lot of people have acne and they don’t need to be made to feel like that

Did your derm say why your problem area is one side? I’m dealing with the same and can’t figure out if it’s maskne, food habits, or hormonal
Do you sleep on your side? It could be bacteria from your pillow
It can even be an infected tooth or a cavity from one side... I used to have a lot more acne on one side than the other, until I went to my dentist and I had an impacted third molar removed (which was also full of cavities). After that, my acne has improved in about 90%. I still get small pimples every once in a while, but nothing like it used to.

I also have a lot of acne on one side of my face. Found out that it was hormonal due to PCOS. My right ovary has more cysts and is enlarged so I'm getting breakouts on the right side of my face.

Consider removing gluten and possibly dairy. I look back at pictures of myself on gluten and it was constantly inflamed and breaking out. I still have some blemishes but nothing like before. Gluten is a hormone disruptor.
This is a great comment. I feel like diet isn't talked about a ton with acne. I recently learned about the dairy myself and it's definitely changed some things for my skin.
@@elizabethpaq9802 every one is different so sometimes it takes some trial and error to find out your personal sensitivities, but gluten and dairy are good starting points.
