- We’re always told to thaw our food before cooking… but what happens when we don’t? The last time I tried this was with a steak and the results were shocking, the crust was stronger and in a blind taste test everyone who tried it actually preferred the frozen one. Low and slow-er cooked frozen brisket…? I’d do this one again! What are your Memorial Day cooking plans?

freeze a brisket, use a cheese grader on it, form it into a play button and smoke it over applewood, low and slow

I feel like the results would be better if it was trimmed prior to freezing it
Trimming sometimes makes it worse. Look it up. ( mostly appearance based if you trim otherwise it's basically a waste of time. )

Secret steps🤫:
1 - bring water to a boil, add salt (if your pot is too small buy a bigger pot)
2 - put frozen brisket into boiling water
3 - let cook for 45 minutes
4 - preheat your oven
5 - add pepper to your brisket
6 - turn oven off again
7 - make sure to turn the stove off and enjoy
