And there's a good chance by the time you're seeing this, they'll have already gotten a round of buffs. But that's what this vidya was made for! At the moment, with all the workshop changes announced, I think the main things I want to see changed are Deny and Gaze. I mention it towards the end, but Deny *really* doesn't serve a purpose right now, and Gaze has a major handicap in that it loses all of its armor strip on a target if the target gets out of the AoE. Something that no other armor strip has to deal with. I'm personally replacing their third ability with fire blast for a more reliable armor strip so the guns are capable of doing damage to heavily armored targets at high levels.
I love Xata's whisper because 1. it effectively disarms enemies, 2. much easier to head-shot them by hitting the top of the bubble, 3. you don't have to aim on even MORE weapons.

When they were asking about xaku's abilities, i had the idea that their passive could have been an efficiency/range/duration/power fluctuation by a flat amount to a small degree (like either -4% or +6% range or -10% or +15% range, something like that). i regret not posting that, but seeing a warframe who's stats randomize periodically by a small degree would be sick

I like to use the laser as a quick hold up on bigger enemy's so i can decide my options. Yeah you can combo the effects to get it to kill stuff, but if you looked at grendel, he only needs to eat, and barf to kill, but still has the option to run you over. Xaku is more of a caster warframe, that works better then more you think it out. Some people don't like simple frames.
Fun fact, after playing Xaku for a while i figured out his Accuse and Deny are kinda broken (good way). His Deny works on perma stunning things like BOSSES (like Kela De Thaym) and Kuva Lich's xD. Also his Accuse works on enemy necramech's during Vaults. Fun character
I think it would be cool if Deny's laser extended void-tree tendrils to deal a fraction of the damage of the initial beam to nearby enemies, and the tendril's range was affected by ability range
The CC mind control is actually a very good way to stay alive because enemies are going to try and kill the CC instead of you and with round 2 of changes it’s only gonna get better. The only problem I have with xaku is that xaku doesn’t have a playstyle, most abilities are like set and forget but then the armor strip ability wants you to play as a camping frame
13:45 that’s without even considering that the guns from grasp of lokh already nearly killed the enemies in the half a second you were standing near them.
Vast Untime's Dodge Chance actually DOES have a significant use, one that can completely solve surviveability regardless of level: Shield Gating. Using Rolling Guard + Brief Respite (and let's be honest Xaku doesn't really need any other aura if you have Arcane Energize and enough Forma on him) you can NEARLY get your shields back before the shield gate expires (all the time on Hildryn, but she has Pillage by default anyway). With Xaku you bring that "nearly" to "damn near 100%". This means, apart from sources which ignore shields AND aren't status procs, on Xaku you literally don't need any surviveability mods apart from those 2. This frees up a ton of mod space vs other Warframes. While DR is generally more useful, DR doesn't scale into super high levels. And Xaku, IMO, seems to be a frame based around scaling potential.
I personally never really died as xaku, and I was only using Umbra vit for survability(Like roughly of levels 130-190, including against infested). Most instances of burst damage comes from short-ranged enemies or swarms of trash, and his guns will generally do the trick just fine against those enemy types. Sure, it won't push you towards the late-levels game, but most people who do those types of missions generally won't have energy/shield regen issues to have the shield gate invincibility up for 100% uptime anyways, or at the very least have a second squadmate to further boost the team's EHP/shield gating potential. While it's not true DR, it's close enough to practically build for Health on them(or even old-fashion shield tanking if you really want to, because evasion doesn't reset your recharge delay)
It'd be neat if evasion let attacks "hit" you for buff actvations but because you're just so dang speedy it barely grazed you when it did, i.e. no damage taken

imo they need to get rid of the 3rd ability being a cycle, and instead add the abilities to the first 3 as held options, ease of use is the main problem with xaku for me atleast, maybe increase the dodge chance even further for the 4th since it's survivability leaves much to be desired
They should make Deny like a a BFG shot that consumes all your energy and does more damage the more energy you spend on it. Like, enough damage to one-shot a steel-path eidolon during the final stage of the fight.
Im just coming back to see old xaku and seeing this version of them and then comparing it with their new version is like seeing a different character because Xaku now is really good lol
I’m fine with how far the grasp of lohk weapons shoot. My only really problem is that each gun tends to hit a different enemy so it feels like useless chip damage on some enemies. The being low isn’t much of a problem, I would say if it got a range buff then make it 12 meters. I feel like the accuse ability falls in the same family of revenant’s thrall ability and that can be recasted but the downside is that it has a cap. I will say that xaku’s accuse ability doesn’t ha e the ability to share the effect onto other enemies, I won’t be surprised if DE makes it able to recast but also has a cap. Gaze is kind of awkward because xaku doesn’t have an ability to grab or move enemies so you need to wait for the AI to move to a good spot or have friend. I like that gaze removes both armor and shields but it’s really only best on infested since they’re much easy to control but they also lack both armor and shields (outside of the moa buff). Gaze is more deserving of a range buff or at least a duration buff. Overall I can agree that almost of of zaku’s abilities needs 1 buff in either strength, range, or duration.
I like that even even Though only 1 idea got picked to be made, it lead to many other frames down the line. the suggestion of a sentient frame, aka caliban. We even technically got the ballerina frame. Aka gyre, who is canonically was aboard the spoiler ship to be a dancer.

Saying bones arent gendered is just as dumb as saying the earth is flat. Bones are VERY gendered. Jaw, hip, tibia size determine the gender of the corpse. Just like teeth count! You reference hildryn's pillage here as a viable armor strip, then talk about how restrictive it is to need 200% ability strength to meet xaku's 100% armor strip. But to my knowledge hildryn requires a whopping 400% power strength to do the exact same 100% armor strip.
@@grandpotato172 I dont believe you can 100% strip with hildryn's from multiple casts, I can spam away at that ability with 300% and still never strip an enemy entirely.
He mentioned that in the video. Xaku is the type of frame that wants a little bit of everything, whereas Hildryn can pump strength with no real sacrifices, and even heavily benefit the majority of her kit.
I wouldnt call it "a little bit of everything" You prioritize 200% str, about the same range, and a bit of dur, not like you need to mod for every stat super high.

Most instances of burst damage comes from short-ranged enemies or swarms of trash, and his guns will generally do the trick just fine against those enemy types. Sure, it won't push you towards the late-levels game, but most people who do those types of missions generally won't have energy/shield regen issues to have the shield gate invincibility up for 100% uptime anyways, or at the very least have a second squadmate to further boost the team's EHP/shield gating potential. While it's not true DR, it's close enough to practically build for Health on them(or even old-fashion shield tanking if you really want to, because evasion doesn't reset your recharge delay)
I use hildryn’s first over Xaku’s first so I can get shields and remove status effects whenever I need them
It'd be neat if evasion let attacks "hit" you for buff actvations but because you're just so dang speedy it barely grazed you when it did, i.e. no damage taken

I love xaku, he's fantastic for survival, he strips all armour and then his guns just destroy everything
imo they need to get rid of the 3rd ability being a cycle, and instead add the abilities to the first 3 as held options, ease of use is the main problem with xaku for me atleast, maybe increase the dodge chance even further for the 4th since it's survivability leaves much to be desired
I just use gaze but only use 3 in steel path
And I just got rid of 1 and replaced it with mags pull

Im just coming back to see old xaku and seeing this version of them and then comparing it with their new version is like seeing a different character because Xaku now is really good lol
I’m fine with how far the grasp of lohk weapons shoot. My only really problem is that each gun tends to hit a different enemy so it feels like useless chip damage on some enemies. The being low isn’t much of a problem, I would say if it got a range buff then make it 12 meters. I feel like the accuse ability falls in the same family of revenant’s thrall ability and that can be recasted but the downside is that it has a cap. I will say that xaku’s accuse ability doesn’t ha e the ability to share the effect onto other enemies, I won’t be surprised if DE makes it able to recast but also has a cap. Gaze is kind of awkward because xaku doesn’t have an ability to grab or move enemies so you need to wait for the AI to move to a good spot or have friend. I like that gaze removes both armor and shields but it’s really only best on infested since they’re much easy to control but they also lack both armor and shields (outside of the moa buff). Gaze is more deserving of a range buff or at least a duration buff. Overall I can agree that almost of of zaku’s abilities needs 1 buff in either strength, range, or duration.
I like that even even Though only 1 idea got picked to be made, it lead to many other frames down the line. the suggestion of a sentient frame, aka caliban. We even technically got the ballerina frame. Aka gyre, who is canonically was aboard the spoiler ship to be a dancer.
Gotta say, as an enby, hearing content creators use they/them for Xaku is a good feeling, also the AGGP joke was good

You reference hildryn's pillage here as a viable armor strip, then talk about how restrictive it is to need 200% ability strength to meet xaku's 100% armor strip.
But to my knowledge hildryn requires a whopping 400% power strength to do the exact same 100% armor strip.
in one cast, but you can cast hildryn's armor strip multiple times, xuku's armor strip doesn't stack to my knowledge
@@grandpotato172 I dont believe you can 100% strip with hildryn's from multiple casts, I can spam away at that ability with 300% and still never strip an enemy entirely.
He mentioned that in the video. Xaku is the type of frame that wants a little bit of everything, whereas Hildryn can pump strength with no real sacrifices, and even heavily benefit the majority of her kit.
I wouldnt call it "a little bit of everything" You prioritize 200% str, about the same range, and a bit of dur, not like you need to mod for every stat super high.
@@ebonslayer3321 He did mention why it isn't as detrimental to hildryn, but it is much more of a chore to reach 400% on hildryn than it is to reach 200% on Xaku, granted that Hildryn's is less reliant where the enemy is, it still gives you a corridor with no doors to explore if your prime objective is armor strip.
Even to the point you need to get to like 380 or so with growing power on or get help from other frames to meet that requirement
