This is one of my favorite hikes. So great to know that we can do SOTA and POTA there too! Hoping to get up there before the weather changes and they take the bridge out for the winter.
Love that you've been to this one as well, and definitely one of my favorite's also! Sauk W7W/SK-096 is nearby, and a bit easier and shorter hike... you may have done this one also, but another great SOTA option nearby (both of which are also in POTA parks - many of the summits are especially in the Nat. Forests). Again, great to hear your family out there this weekend! 73, James
Thank you (-: Chasers are great and I love using VHF/UHF as able. My first SOTA summits were actually VFH only around the Puget Sound until getting general license and an HF radio. Thanks for watching and comment! 73, James
Great video James! Funny, I've always had the opposite luck at that summit: a struggle on VHF but lots of QSO's on HF. It's my favorite and you're right... too busy on the weekends.
Thank you Todd! That's funny about VHF vs. HF, and another reminder for me to continue learning CW for the automatic spotting when there is no cell! It was great to watch your videos from this summit and why I actually activated it...and so glad i did! 73, and thanks for comment!
Nice one!

Being in the much-less-populated Eastern WA, I'm a bit jealous that you're able to make so many 2m contacts. Well-played.

Great work, James! Gotta catch you on the air soon too!
Thank you Chris, and hope you had a great time on your SOTA weekend trip a bit ago...our summer is going to fast and almost gone. )-:
