Thanks for the reaction! 👏 LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy.
LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The group has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times . In 2018, LOVEBITES performed at "Wacken Open Air " (Germany) , becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at this festival. They also performed on the main stage at "Bloodstock Open Air " (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the "Download Festival" in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented, highly professional musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good!
🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the group).
🐺Haruna - drums.
🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals.
🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals.
🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano.
🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful group appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES.
🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen.
Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") and the youngest of the ladies, but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan.
* Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) are the band's powerful foundation! Being in the back of the stage they create conditions by their play that allow Asami, Midori, Miyako to shine.
🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since he was two years old and the electric organ since he was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar.
Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA.
🐺Miyako (black hair) has played classical piano since she was three, guitar at the age of 18. A pianist of the highest level, playing classical pieces with ease. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the group, she wrote over 50% of the music.
* Miyako and Mi-Ya are the same lady. On the debut EP "The Lovebites" ( May, 2017) and on the first album "Awakening from Abyss"(October, 2017) , her name was written as Mi-Ya , on the following albums - Miyako.
* In terms of teamwork , synchronization of guitars and harmony, Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same group is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two.After school, she moved to the USA to study jazz and hip-hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the group's songs. She speaks English, albeit with accent. All songs LOVEBITES are written in English.
Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. Many people, having seen them on stage, say that in white dresses they look like Greek Goddesses playing metal !
The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The group's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺.

Like in Empty Daydream and Edge of the world Asami's voice really shines in this one.

This Lady have besides their fast and thrashy Metal Songs many such beautiful "softer" songs, like for example, Edge of the World or Empty Daydream.

If you take everything into account (ability, personality, presentation, crowd interaction, composition, variety, virtuosity…I could go on and on) I think they are the best band there has ever been. I didn’t say “greatest”, because they haven’t achieved the level of fame they truly deserve. When they do, then I’ll change “best” to “greatest”.
This is my favorite Lovebites songs, with so many components that I love so much contained in it. Just a masterpiece of a song.
Piano? The real meaning of that age old term "Tinkling The Ivories".

There are various heavy metal bands in the world. However, the reason why Lovebites is overwhelming and has its own world and musicality is probably because "the backbone of each band member" is unique.
It means that the members "start from a genre different from heavy metal" such as classical piano, ballet dance, and R & B.
There is no other heavy metal band like this.
世界には様々なヘビーメタルバンドが存在します。しかし、ラブバイツが圧倒的で、独自の世界や音楽性を持っているのは、おそらく「バンドメンバー各々のバックボーン」が独特だからでしょう。
それは、メンバーがクラシックピアノやバレエダンス、R&Bなど「ヘビーメタルとは違うジャンルから出発している」と言う事です。
こんなヘビーメタルバンドは、他に有りません。
Long time no see. Good to see you back with LOVEBITES, and an epic one at that.
Most hall-of-fame bands made their reputations on a few good songs and perhaps one true masterpiece. Lovebites have produced a half-dozen genuine rock masterpieces in five short years. For me, this performance is the best of the best. I can't think of anything to rival it besides, perhaps, Roy Orbison's "Black and White Night".

Hey you guys, I went to see Nothing but thieves this weekend, and they were amazing! You guys listened to Impossible, which is one of my favourite songs by them, but I’d love to see you react to one of their “louder” songs. And as I’m Dutch, I would request “Amsterdam”. I’ve just learned that the video for it was recorded in Kiev in the Ukraine. If you prefer watching a live song, you should check out “Real love song” or “Futureproof”, live at the O2 Arena in London.
To be honnest, I can't stand the japanese style of singing. I can't help it even if I like this band's musicianship. Heh!
Each to their own opinion, but get your ears tested. There always has to be one bad apple in every barrel.
Was the same with me. Had to listen to Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-Maid etc. several times. Meanwhile I can't stand this poor macho posing, singing and growling (hey look, we are tattoed, dressed in black leather and we are reaaaaaly ugly bad guys) anymore.
There's no one "Japanese style of singing". And she sings in a Western style anyway. 🤦
@@ChrisPage68 Come on! The kind of "tremolo" that's omnipresent is what I refer to and it's prevalent in many japanese band singing (Unlucky Morpheus, Lovebites, Wagakki Band, ...). Please, try not to understand and comment more than you just did... *sigh*
