You should do an online course on this 😊 this would be both money and advertising at the same time. You got skills. You can teach a lot for sure yt is not a place to make money nowadays. Let me know if you need help with anything I could help you plan it etc you seem cool. Have a think about it
Gary, if you start a Patreon, I'd absolutely subscribe. I'm 37. It was a childhood dream as a 90s kid to get into the anamatronics world (ended up going a different direction). But I have a 6yo now who loves doing 3D prints with me and I think we'd really enjoy bringing some anamatronics to life together. Keep up the good work!
This is the weirdest rabbit hole, I've ever been on. From 3D printing basics to firearms and now animatronics. I'm glad I discovered your channel!!!!! ✧\(>o
im the same with building arcade machines! before the rona hit i had no prior experience so its been interesting and fun experience learning & starting from nothing- from coding & figuring out what does and doesnt work to ripping old computers apart from the trash and splicing individual wires hahaha (fr tho i've even got a set of car speakers in one of my arcades & its super beefy!)- but yeah theres really nothing better than just creating something new :) im on my 8th atm
I only do FDM printing but I have recently gotten into meshmixer and cutting large prints apart. As an example, my life size Utah Raptor bust I printed. You might be able to do that with your skin bucks. Model it, cut it into sections with keys, print, then pin and glue it together and use resin to fill in any seams. (hide as many as you can too) There was a technique mentioned on Adam Savage's Tested where Jim Henson or another shop were printing the actual negative forms for the skins rather than a buck and then silicone and so on. So many applications though! Wall-E, a terminator head, ET, Alien, Predator, Dinosaurs, dragons... etc... Haunted houses... wow.
As someone who is used to working in 3D CAD Software with solid models, all the modeling you do with STL surface models sends a shiver down my spine😂. But it seems to work out really well for you, looks amazing
You might want to look into the work of Paul Ekman for inspiration. His work that covers every 60+ years that his daughter has taken on in micro expressions & body language. He's most famous for his work on the Disney movie "Inside Out"
Amazing work. Hope you have success. But honestly the video is amazing, but the voice over need to be improved. Not sure how, but kids now days have an attention span of 10 seconds. Hope to see one of those animatronix integrated on a moving robot like spot or something.
Yes , I don’t like narrating,I don’t like my southern accent. Videos are not for low attention kids , later showing eye making and teeth processing with molding and casting chemicals and dental lathe machinery .
First test was dragon skin 20 I didn’t like it ,it’s like a raincoat ,Ecoflex 10 that I’m happy with . But this is a very small creature, a bigger creature may use Ecoflex 20
Love your work.😊
Awesome! Stan Winston eat your heart out! This is what animators need to know. Thank you so very much, I will be following you.😁😎😎😎😎😎

Gone from 500 subscribers to almost 3,000 in a few days!? Congrats!

Well, being on a rabbit hole is better than going down one😂
Any reason in that particular order
@@Rctdcttecededtef I blame the youtube rabbit hole (;ŏ﹏ŏ)
And now he's ready to remake that scene were The crazy gremlin has a gun.
Thanks again Gary ...
Thanks for making these videos. I truly appreciate you 😊
These are very cool. I would love to see them in a silicone skin.
why servos over steppers? Steppers are so much smoother and more fluid
Beautiful work! Have you tried solidworks to model the mechanical parts? there you can simulate the movements also
I've always wanted solidworks but never could afford it.
Got a bunch more subscribers in one day! Fantastic my friend!! So well done, as always.
Would really love to get a hold of the stl files.......I love practical effects and would be interested in working with you on some projects .......
