One of my favorite players to watch. He has to work so much harder than the others. Also, I get tired just from watching him. The distance he goes just to win a point. Phenomenal!!
man thats what i see when i see him for the first time... i am argentinian and we are known because we have "EGGS" (HUEVOS), and Diego is that kind of player. MY kind of player, thats so lovely to see. Not all argentinians have that, even in football. But when you see that is awesome.
Keshav Ahuja hahahh. Agreed. Way too good. I recall seeing the shot as a highlight on the atp instagram page.. and isner commented on the post with the middle finger emoji 🖕🏽 … 😂
been watching this guy for a few years and i was always impressed by his game and how hard he plays. got to see him play djokovic in roland garros a few years ago and damn believe me when i say the whole crowd was on his side, incredible performance
His top rank is #11. Ferrer was only 4-5cm taller than him and hit the #3 mark. I reckon if he keeps working hard he could reach a #5 - i agree being at 180cm would be of greater advantage. Doesn’t stop him though!
The big diference between Coria and Diego was the mental strenght. Altought Diego is an elite player, Guillermo belonged to another level, even from juniors. My point is that what Diego needs to be as good as Guille, isnt height, but the right mindset in tigh moments. So far I see that is not only that the opponents can play better than him, but also Diego tends to choke when it matters against top players. He hasnt find that regularity like Ferrer once did and became that beast to be top 10. Diego is a well deserved top 15, but if he wants more, I'm sure he does, he needs a click in the mental deparment, in order to make that next step.
Why would they even suggest 'Novak Djokovic Brilliance vs. Schwartzman' in the Rome 2019 play, when this entire video is all about SCHWARTZMAN's brilliance?!
I wonder why ATP cant make a deal to have the Grand Slam videos right to use here too, as Grand Slam have the ATP ranking and wont do that job anyways. There were a fabolous point of Schartzman against Nadal at the last US Open!
@Press and Hold ! yeah that one, Schwarzman reminded me a 2005 Nadal in that point! I believe in both first two sets he made a big effort and ended losing them
El gran problema del peque es su altura. En su mejor momento tiene buena lectura de pelotas, pero no es un jugador que sepa mantener bien su game porque saca lento. Tenés que ser Nadal literal para sacar despacio y quedar bien posicionado.
Happy Birthday, Diego! 🇦🇷
One of my favourite players, with Nadal, Thiem, Monfils and Federer
Tennis fans: Amazing tenacity, stellar forehand, quick movement at the net and baseline...
Commentators: He's just so short for this sport it's crazy!
Hahaha so true, thoses god damn commentators

A WARRIOR and a FIGHTER with never give up attitude !
Heart bigger than height !
Wishing that he will win a big tournament in near future 👍

Diego’s shot against Isner is just savage AF

The crazy thing is that shot was absouletly crucial to the match. Unlike some players who do like that when they are way a head or losing anyway.
@@theyoutuber273 thats becaus the play was made naturally. i think.

His lob-game is outrageous (for obvious reasons) and he reacts SO quickly against approaches/passes
The point on 5:44 is absolutely unreal.
ikr. who the heck is this stebe and why does his backhand look so sweet.
The best point of this video.
@@virlesscream he's a german player and well known here in germany :)
Nothing more than a long rally
My favourite player. So variable. Always great shots. One of the best.
I love Diego’s tennis but love who is even more! He is just one of the nicest, most humble players out there
Best ending haha
Happy 28th Birthday Diego Schwartzman
Fell in love with Diego ❣️
Amazing player, great strokes and execptional touch, really reminds me of Coria. If only he was 10cm taller he could be a top 5 player

Coria was no.3 and could had been no.2 and he was short too.
@@RidaHakeem With more height he could serve better.. But maybe he won't return as good as now or run with less speed and energy.
He’ll surpass your expectations in these next two years
Him and Goffin

What is also amazing is his midcourt touch and net game.
Greatest video tennis tv has came out with
Great vid. I love Diego's reactions after the points.
Love that Diego
Hbd Diego!!
Some amazing shots. He's got pace on his side, which helps. Djokovic is very strategic with his ball placement.
his dropshots😍
acrobatic & magic touch from diego like it
0:55 ridiculous!!!
Little guy got a lot of heart..
ATP : how many points with Djokovic you want
Diego : yes🤣🤣
@T1mTenn1s Just envy.
That match vs Djokovic 🔥🔥

Normal people: Very quick, great movement, smart, consistent strokes, great forehand
Commentators: Haha short guy go brrrr

They can’t because the only channels that have the right to us open are espn and the u open channel
Grande peque!
Que grande Schwartzman un animal🙌
Shortman is awesome
Schwartzman’s backhand should have been on the most underrated tennis shots list.
By the way, did he play Djokovic in Rome?
He has a great career ahead of him.
Puntos increíbles a lo Nadal y a lo Federer
True player
my short king

Diego Shortman
Instead of highlighting his performance, you highlight or "mock" his height!!!! How good from you!!
Is this series about current players still playing? I thought only 2000s players were the focus
0:30 Hmm, Good pun, I think^^

Igual mejoró un monton su saque, ahora se nota mas que ya no pierde partidos solo por eso
@@alejocaballero4466 Yo siento que en el 2018 sacaba mejor, pero ahora está muy solido a la devolución, y al revés paralelo.
