Man, George throwing Hawk under the bus left and right! Cut 'em some slack. Also, I love seeing reps carrying stuff from other brands. It seems more sincere than simply carrying your own company.
ABSOLUTELY my favorite video from anyone on Blade Show West! GREAT JOB!!! Nice seeing who uses their knives, and really great seeing reps carrying other brands.
This is really funny. It also shows, if you use your knife, it isn't going to be super sharp all the time and guess what? It still does the job! Running it on concrete was the biggest surprise. LOL
Check edcs next time. Only Hawk and a couple others gave you a used knife. Most of those knives were released at the show and brand new so factory edges.
It's interesting take on pocket checks and your hand speed in the test is pretty even, but you typically need to do it at least 3 times to get some accuracy and toss out the one that's far off from the others.
I love how polarized the reactions to it being a sharpness test are. Guys who regularly sharpen their knives: "oh, awesome!" Guys who just use their knives and don't sharpen: "Oh, huh, cool"
@@comfortablyunknown700it measures how much force it takes to cut the thin wire in the middle. So weight doesn't really have anything to do with it, either weight from the hand or knife.

bruh for real!!!! he couldn't stop telling people that s**t...rowdy ole' snitch!!!!
LOL this made me laugh. ''rowdy ol' snitch'' is something I'm gonna start using hahaha. You can tell he has a grudge against Hawk @@CA_0341
If your knife is duller than a beat to hell visibly chipped up flipper... That sure is something lol
The folks over at hawk knives are watching this video blown as George tells everyone they have the dullest knives🤣
Austin! So glad to see you back in the knife industry bro! Dream team is back together!
Agreed! Welcome back OG!

Those landers scales were awesome!

It was awesome to meet you in person at Blade West, George! Awesome video as always!

Hawk just taking grenades the entire episode.
5max is scary sharp for that size and weight
Major props to Austin on the watch! Sinn U50!
ITS AUSTIN!!!! AND HE WORKS AT KNAFS!!!!!
Always wanted to know. Is there a practical reason to carry a flipper zero? I see a lot of them online.
Those Hawk guys gotta be pissed..
the bali at 15:47 pushed the wire out of its holder, i think it is duller then 1051, but then the guy did tell George it kissed concrete
Dude hawk knives are meant for stabbing have a very high steep edge
This was a really funny video. Good job George

Any news on the Lionsteel Skinny?
Killin it George!
Dang. Really cool to see Austin again.

See the kid in the background Killin the butterfly knife friggin sick
imagine what you could build into that backspacer... a multitool... 1:43
What is that spinning coin called?
i wish you had a running top 10 list on the side of the video
or a top 9 and the worst, since you keep mentioning they who shall not be named in this comment... lol
Make that backspacer a tool and it would be cool. It's just added stuff with no use as is
That Protech wow
Broooo I did not see that 5maxx being that sharp…..I feel duped
Cold steel and spyderco always have superb factory edges..
I love how you dogged one of the most expensive knives at every booth!!
Jimmy Slash.👍
My butter knife is sharper than Hawk’s 😂
Newbie question. How does the hands-on not affect the scale?
I think it only has a scale under the string and nothing else
@@stephantaylor1968 ah, I was unable to see the string on video.
But that still leaves the hand holding the knife handle.

@@dylbarton more that I was unable to see in the video. Thank you for the information. Makes much more sense now.

Do a google search on "edge-on-up" which is the device used
Measured the most used part of the knife on a daily user at the hawk booth then throws shade when compared to unused knives at other booths 😂😂
It think Matt’s titanium pen might be sharper than Hawk’s knife. 😂
Nice
My baseball bat is sharper then 1123, that's so funny
I
Hey, did you know that Hawk had the dullest blade? It was only said once or twice.
the guys with the sharp knives don't use their knives
Well and good luck May the Schwartz be with you😂
😂 This was like equivalent to those body builders pulling a scale out and weighing them! The faces made were like ohhh!🫠
I miss Austin
