Perfection. In my opinion Elena's the best classical composer of modern times. I'm in love with every single piece she had ever brought out and in the future, whenever I'll have kids i hope they'll study Elena's work on music classes in school.
I love Elena's compositions so much too. They're absolutely stunning!
What a wonderful piece, i heard this on the radio played on the
saxophone and i instantly thought about the Lloyd's TSB advert! but i don't think
that it should just be recognised for that advert; it is a wonderful piece
played by a wonderful pianist and i could listen to this piece over
and over again! Thanks Elena for this great piece that makes my heart
sing =]
Love is song. Its so beautiful. My music teacher showed us this clip. Around that time i was still deciding what to play for hsc and when this was on i knew STRAIGHT away i wanted to do this piece. hopefully when HSC rolls around later this year i will do this song and Elena Kats Chernin justice
i love this....there is so many remixes and the advert version of it...its nice to hear the original for once. i love this whole piece..its good.
This song makes me feel different. It lifts me up in a way.
Delightful and delicate with an ethereal quality. I really enjoy your musical compositions.
Beautiful.
This is amazing...really...
"Chapeau bas", as we say in french, because it's a truly wonderful piece. Thanks a lot for sharing such a talent :)
Lovely to see you playing your own beautiful composition. You play so lyrically that i could hear the vocal version in my mind!.
So beautiful!
I so now regret giving up on piano lessons 35years ago, I would love to be able to play this, I can't stop listening over and over, truly it is beautiful, :o)
Heavenly Music. Finally I found my favourite piano and composer. Soo beautiful ❤️
This is just... amazing...
This is so beautiful.
Such a wonderful piece of music. I love all Elena's music, a very talented lady.

Magnifico!
When I first heard Alexander Rag and even now, the tears are sweeeeeet
beautiful piece, it was a GREAT intro to John Gallianio's spring show.
anybody know where I can get hold of this version of it?
I love this piano version more than the one used on the advert lol :)
I thought she'd be singing the "ahah ah ah ahah... " bit
@coldTEARx3 All the best for the HSC performance. You love the song enough to want to learn it. You`ve already done Elena Kats Chernin justice.
Regards
Tony

Beautiful. I would like to see an arrangement for this on organ. I think that would be immense!
I know this is so late, but it was AWESOME!! Did really well, loved that exam!
Yeah that was a fabulous collection from John and I love this song sung by Emily Turner.I can't find it here on YT except amateur Live versions.Pity.
i'm dyslexic too - but this is no excuse for being able to find sheet music tutorials on youtube or wherever on the internet. it's really easy to read guys... don't be lazy
you said you only looked up the song after it was on the advert(when it became popular) and then you say that you hate it when you like a song and it becomes popular.. you are one of the people making it popular :P
So dlow did a cover of this melody? Cool
reminds me of mad mae out of eastenders, this song is truly beautiful
This woman played a massive part in my life if you would be kind please help me by finding the music video because I know there is one I just never found it :'( . I love this song sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much so please help me
where can I get this sheet music?! I must have it! I loved the original Aria. Thanks for posting this:)
@BAdmATT65 looked 16? hahaha, that's Elena Kats-Chernin and she's currently in her 50s, hahahaha. But I agree, she does look quite young in this video
brilliant
me and her should produce music man
i wanna see her!!!
The timeline for the chat is so inconsistent, like the difference is in years of 2-10
Coz I Can fr
@elenakatschernin1 Haha, I've listened at 31 seconds a few times, I can't hear the wrong note...very nice :-)
I want this in hard rock version.
Trying to find piano sheet music for this full version, so far every version I can find is shortened and simplified or the advert version, I mean they all have the opening notes cut out for goodness sake. It's frustrating.
Matt Cooke I know right! I paid for the sheet music and it just came with the simplified version and I really would like to play the full version as played by Chernin :( let me know if you've found the full version anywhere please!
@@NewCreation432, Matt, I remember trying to do the same when this video first came out (i.e. nearly 13 years ago when I was still a teenager!) and being similarly frustrated. Had long ago given up but in case you weren't aware, Lang Lang recently released this piano version (or one very close to it) of EA in his "Piano Book" album, for which he also published sheet music to accompany it - you can either buy the whole book or just this piece on its own: Just search "lang lang eliza aria" on Boozey and Hawkes, SheetMusicPlus or even Amazon and you should be able to find it (it's got an origami swan on the cover).
Unfortunately they seem to be being quite careful about Copyright so you can't buy a digital version from what I can see - only a physical one.
You might also like this clarinet version - it adds another dimension to this sublime composition: scroll down to Past Programs 1st May and enjoy - 3mbs.org.au/programs/the-talent/
Eliza's Aria for Annisa!
D-looooow
Lyods TSB! WOOT!
yeh right there, it's not a particularly long piece, and she shud be able to rememebr it. dunno why she can't, but it hardly matters either way.
yes, even if you are saying that about yourself ...
@coldTEARx3 how did it go!? hope you nailed it!
She's also a Pianist, what do you expect!
What a daft thing to say! She is the COMPOSER, I would imagine however she plays it is how she intended it to be heard. That's like saying Van Gough's Sunflowers were ok but you would have prefered it if a painter and decorator had done them! Get a life. When you can play and compose like her you will have achieved something more then sniping from the sidelines. Oh and don't tell me, ... you're Mozart lol
🎯
So stuffed to play for my exam. I've only got the intro =(
Elena wrote a version for solo viola too!
There is a performance here of it ruclips.net/video/_ygWvcyUWmI/видео.html
oh.
How did it go?
Michael Nynam's theme tune to 'The piano'
how has it been abused? (sorry for the ignorance)
you play piano and can't read sheet music! it's so easy!
Its not daft at all its my opinion and i'm entitled to it thank you. I don't think i'm mozart, i don't even play. All i know is what i like listening to. I love this piece an in general agree with all the comments of praise. I just found the playing slightly clumsy. You can be an excellent composer without being an excellent player, Do you think that a composer who composes for an orchestra can play every instrument superbly? Why is there always one who has to lower the grade of discussion?
LLOYDS TSB
would sound better if it was slower but still great
she hit a wrong note at 0: 31
You might be entitled to it, but that doesn't make it factual, considered or able to be taken seriously. If she is the composer, this is how she has intended the piece to be heard- it's called authorship. Whether you think it's clumsy or not doesn't enter into it. If you think it does, great- get the composer's permission to perform/record a "better" version.
Dupstep Version ^_^
watch?v=YloEiYC_sN8
its a lovely piece - i'd like to hear it played by somebody who was a bit better at piano than her though
A long piece? haha. God help her if she ever has to perform a concerto!
She has to use sheet music for her own composition! Altzheimers??? haha
Interesting but not good enough, other song.
Play me one etude
nothing special
Beautiful .
Beautiful.
