Blind Guardian - Thorn | LYRIC ART VIDEO

This is a homage to the incredible artists over on Artstation that has brought Maeglins tragic story, and the fall of Gondolin to life through stunning character artwork.
📖 What's the song about?
The song is about one of J. R. R Tolkien's beloved tales from the Silmarillion - The Fall of Gondolin, and the betrayal of its whereabouts by Maeglin, son of Eöl, following torture and torment under Melkor.
The story was later made into its own original story and is now available in both paperback and hardback version in various shapes and sizes. The Harper Collins version in particular is stunning. The full narrative release was edited and made available for release by Christopher Tolkien.
While a bit of debate goes on between Tolkien and Blind Guardian fans, a common interpretation of the song is that the band takes a somewhat sympathetic view of Maeglins character, and takes pity on the ordeals suffered throughout his troubled life. I have tried to communicate that message in the video.
His behavior is of course, inexcusable but as with most evil in this world, Maeglin probably did not start out that way.
