An updated video, now showing a review of all six of my Instructional DVDs that I have to offer you for sale.. DVDs filled with 49 years of knowledge, that I've gained, on how to create what you see in your mind's eye.. and put that into a three dimensional clay.
Where can you buy clay for cheap and how can you harden the clay into a permanent sculpture? I know I have the skills and potential, just need to start. Thank you.
David, what an inspiration you are. My health has deteriorated so that I can no longer work with clay, mainly due to drying out although I always cover it of course. I've been using crystal beads in the final firing of flatter things such as bowls and the beads melt so that the clear beads look like ice, the colour mixes are beautiful. Now I need to make smaller items that are easier to work on when my pain levels allow it. I've purchased Premo to use, but wondered what type of plasticine you favour? I live in Australia and it might be expensive to ship from the US, where I guess you live? I've watched many of your videos and am in awe of your talent. I think I've read that you've been doing this for around fifty years. It shows! Thank you so much for sharing your work and being generous enough with your ideas to share them. Rael from Tasmania.
Eventhough I am a 3D sculptor myself, your videos are really helpful! Thank you for putting the time in the videos to show your thoughts and workflows as you are a true inspiration! Thank you once again and keep up the good work.
Thank you Emiel.. and your right.. your sculpting.. just doing it with a computer.. I'm trying to get one of my 36 inch figures reduced... for a 3D print.. to have it cast.. I'm learning a bit about that process.
David Lemon I'm not sure what you mean with reduced, but some time ago I have 3D printed 2 busts and gained quite some knowledge about 3D printing. So if you need help or anything, just send me a PM and maybe I can answer it :)
Congratulations, David! Thank YOU. Merry Christmas!!! We are celebrating with you in our hearts and on 6 January we will go on to celebrate... :) Blessings and hearty best wishes
Absolutely Amazing, I am so enjoying watching your video',s not that i can do this i am only making charms with Fimo and Sculpey lol, but you inspire me so much, Thank You.
Thank you Barb... Love your ceramic dogs.. I was commissioned years ago by Alfred Hitchcock's daughter to sculpt her two dogs. I'd never done dogs before.. they were a Lhasa Apso and a West Highland White Terrier... They actually came out looking like them.. haha A couple of years later she commissioned me to do their new pup.. a Golden Retriever. By the time I finished it.. hit was full grown.. haha
David I purchased the Mountain man video, I also took your class on sculpting a horse in Grapevine 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. I need to know where I can get the skelton page you use in the mountain man video to get the right scale. Thanks Lonnie Mccown
If you want one, let me know.. I've been given permission to take orders or to pass them on... He went out of business for a while because of major health problems in his family...

I'm using Chavant's NSP Soft, you find it on this Page.. It's a Plasticine Clay. You can't fire it and it will never harden. It's located half way down this page sculpturedepot.net/clay-wax-tools/product.asp?Clay
You are my favorit clay master next to Philippe Faraut:)) You are the best;)) I have a question about the J-Mac classic clay you work with. Dries it hard with air or with an oven? Best Regards
Neither Jo... it's an oil based Plasticine clay.. It never hardens and if heated would melt and burn... I take my finished clays to a foundry where they make a mold of it and then I make multiple copies of them in bronze.. selling them from $800 up to $100,000 ... That Higher price, is rarely if ever reached.. but hey my average bronze sells for just under 10k
David Lemon Many thanks for this information:)) Good, that you have told me that, otherwise i would have bought this J-Mac classic clay at sculpture depot shop:)) I don't have the possibility to make bronze, it is too expensive for me:) So I will buy Super Sculpey, it's drying hard in an oven:) Or do you know another clay like Super Sculpey? Greetings:))
