The surprising part is the refinement compared to the previous gen. And then they spec really good tyres. And the sound proofing improved leaps and bound.
Can't wait to see these on the roads.. Wanted to buy this but the wait was too long and bought a Yaris instead. Watched international reviews and almost all of them gave the new Almera/Versa good reviews 😁

I think these new generation B segment cars are becoming very competitive, I feel the City wont sell that much, I prefer the previous facelift gen of the City. I'm gled that this new Almera is way better than the previous one, and I agree with you, Nissan should drop this Almera name..

Interior prettier, exterior prettier, seats better, sound proofing slightly better. Vios handles better. And of course, Toyota has their legendary service and reliability

VW Vento/Polo mk5 is an aging product by now with close to 10 years since it's introduction. Maybe VW could be the king of refinement again if they bring in the mk6 Polo/Virtus
no la ... it doesn't even beat the Vios in handling. And this has no steering feel, just light and easy to drive. Kon say the rear is more comfy than the Mazda 3 which i think it is as i don't feel the rear bumpy when i drive.
The hard plastic it sounds lesser quality compared to vios and honda when u knock it. Even Iriz better. What a let down there, but others part is very good especially the seating position, driving, and smooth engine.

@@frenzyaustin I agree, it's based on the Micra hatchback so everything feels European inside. To me TCM is going all out this round putting such spec and white dashboard which is commendable. This definitely should clear out the bad name of Almera
ok so very decorative and smooth 1.0L and 3 cylinder turbo charged Almera VS old parents figure 1.5L 4 cylinder VioS or yaris = what is your peak for family car and Long drive like KL to Johor ?
Long distance drive? Definitely this Almera. It is quieter, smoother, has effortless pick up when the turbos are in. The seats are higher grade too. But if genting run i suspect the vios and yaris is still superior

Sport mode? Or was it Stepped auto mode similar to the one in Proton? It simulates the normal AT gear changing feel only, nothing sporty about it.

no la ... it doesn't even beat the Vios in handling. And this has no steering feel, just light and easy to drive. Kon say the rear is more comfy than the Mazda 3 which i think it is as i don't feel the rear bumpy when i drive.

Not so much the ride. But the dampened feeling of the throttle, brake, steering and stalks.
