For those who would love to travel to Asia, why not consider visiting Taiwan?
Our one month research, preparation and last-minute reservations, we successfully had a wonderful 5-day vacation in Taipei. We hope that this vlog will help you on your Taiwan Journey.
Taiwan has a Taiwan Lucky Land campaign for foreigners, which grants lucky travelers a chance to win either a prepaid E-ticket card (EasyCard or iPASS card) or hotel accommodation voucher worth 5,000NTD (that’s 564.50aed). This campaign is extended until June 30, 2025. How cool is that? Unfortunately, we didn’t win.😅
We were not able to keep track of our total expenses, but here are a few that we jotted down:
💡1AED is to 15PHP
✈️ Flight via Emirates (DXB to HKG) = 1,700 AED/pax/roundtrip (25kg baggage + 7kg handcarry).
✈️ Flight via Hong Kong Airlines (HKG to TPE) = 800 AED/pax/roundtrip (20kg baggage + 7kg handcarry).
There was no available direct flight to Taipei (from Dubai) at the time of booking.
📄 Visa is FREE for Philippine Passport Holders
🏨 6 Days Hotel Accommodation (Tomorrow Hotel) = 1,323.39 AED
Tours booked via Klook:
🚌 Yangmingshan & Beitou Tour = 544.24 AED/2pax
🚌 North Coast Tour = 224.76 AED/2pax
additional entrance fee = 13.58 AED/pax
🚕 TRANSPORTATION via MRT, high-speed rail, local taxi, Uber taxi = sorry, lost track.
🍱 FOOD = 150-400 NTD per meal/head (1 NTD is equivalent to 0.11 AED)
Taiwan is incredibly and surprisingly amazing. The locals are indeed the friendliest 'intsik,' as tagged by many travelers who’ve been there.
Taiwan has its own unique beauty and amazing culture that we fell in love with.
Itinerary:
Day 0 - arrival
Day 1 - taipei 101, xinyi district, shilin night market
Day 2 - taichung DIY
Day 3 - klook tour (northcoast)
Day 4 - klook tour (yangmingshan & beitou)
Day 5 - taipei DIY city tour (red house, ximending, longshan temple, chiang kai-shek memorial hall, addiction aquatic development)
Day 6 - departure
