- Here is the opening and a scene from the 1990 TV movie "Return To Green Acres" Starring Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor. See what happens when the Douglas clan decides to move back to the big city. But Mr. Haney has plans to redevelop Hotterville and boot out all the towns residence.
Eva died 5 years after this.So beautiful until the very end.
I always enjoyed Green Acres! Very good clean comedy!! Loved Eva ,& Eddie!!
I am having a ball watching the complete series with my 10 year old nephew. He's at the age where he gets the humor and loves the creativity that went into it, such as the openings where the actors noted the name credits in the air, on fresh-laid eggs, or on hotcakes. Hey, watching this show is keeping him away from XBox for the time being!
I loved this show, funny and pure... good old times
I know this tele-film took a lot of hits and criticism but I personally enjoyed it and I think it was just nice to see the cast together again especially Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor.
there's a real warmth when they kissed, and that was the point I think -- that as awful as their living circumstances were, Oliver and Lisa were in love and stayed together through everything that came along.
A treasured and still beloved classic Eva and Eddie had such great chemistry together The whole cast was superb OLIVAH!
i personally know one of the former guest stars from the show its-self.....She stated Eddie and Eva and all the cast members were loving to work with!!
It's not well known, he never talked about it, but he was in WW2 and is a war hero, big time.
I love this show!
I watched this with Steve Martin every morning before drywall! Oh yeah bud!
Still enjoy watching Green Acres thanx to reruns❣Love it
The way you did this made it look like a very short tv spot - fun bit of memories there.
Eva was gorgeous her entire life.
fUNNY SHOW
This lacks the innocence of the original
Somebody should go edit the laugh track in
Eva darling
Arnold bringing the flowers to the grave is so sad ; w ;
ARNOLD bringing flowers to his MOM and DAD's gravesite. TOUCHING!!!!
Eva was gorgeous!
Mr Douglas heart was into having a farm all he did was paint.not build. I still watch the reruns on TV. The little dog she had at the penthouse you never saw it at the farm. The boy still single I guess. With his money they could have had a beautiful house. Love the show and actors today. From the old show.
Connie Charley - The dog was at least in the first few episodes.
Eddie Albert just got from the Bob Knight convention.
Anyone like when the tune goes modern at 0:48?
They could made this a crossover with petticoat junction and Beverly hillbillies.
It was.
Actually during the original runs they did do several cross-overs. There was one I think it was a Christmas show that had everyone at the Clametts eating Christmas dinner and using the pool sticks to past the pots of food around the "Fancy eating table". There was also a Petticoat Junction episode where Granny appeared. They were one of the first Multi-show universes long before the Arrowverse on CW.
So far something seems missing. The writing? The actors seem the same.
PS - Check out Eddie Albert's career sometime. Besides being one of the first people ever in television (he was on the "demo disk" - no kidding) with an extensive career in TV and movies, he had been a circus performer, a spy, and a war hero - all in real life. And he was married to one woman his whole life, with a name even more exotic than Eva's.
Something was missing. They seemed a little strained and the interplay a bit forced. It's hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice, but it's still pleasant to see the Green Acres surviving crew again.
Uh why the heck don't you CHECK before commenting? That WAS Tippi Hedren's name in the end credits. Apparently she played a small part in this tv movie (which we only see 5 minutes of here.
IMDb.com confirms it, on Hedren's credits it says she played an "Arleen" in this Green Acres-film.
Way too long takes with too much silence between lines. The original show was brilliant, as were the actors.
Everyone looks older
Eazy E Gimmie That Nutt !!!
Where can i find the full movie? :)
This wasn't funny but the original was. I didn't even watch TV back then and haven't even had commercial TV now since 1990. I caught an episode one evening back in the '60s when my sister was watching and was hooked. It was SO in-your-face stupid I felt like the cast was letting me in on a huge inside joke. It was REALLY funny and the laughs came like machine gun fire. The very first scene I watched was Oliver's dressed to the nines snob of a mother shinnying up a pole to answer the Douglas' outdoors party line phone!
Woha, was that Tippi Hedren's name in the end credits!? :D
If you have the whole movie, would you post it? If not, maybe we can do a trade or something. I'm only missing three movies to complete my collection. This is one of them.

Because the ham and bacon were cured.
Too much introduction@
It would have been better with a laugh track.
I remember when this was on, it was so awful I had to turn it off after 10 minutes.
