    So I have 2 things to say about these episodes. #1: If I ever go to Kleinfields, I don't want Diane for a consultant because she seems to ALWAYS disrespect the budget. #2: Mom PAYS for the dress by walking to work and scrimping and saving and DAD gets to walk her down the aisle? Something isn't right here.

    Bride #2 was so selfish by making her mom walk to work vs public transportation and being happy her mom had to cut back on food as well as other things just to afford the bride’s dress. Wow! Incredibly entitled. The bride should have been the one working extra hours and cutting back. Who does that? Wonder if she is divorced already with that kind of attitude? Bride #1 made a poor choice with that dress. I think she was more in love with the bragging rights to tell everyone the designer name and how much it costs vs how it looked on her. $5000 divided by a few hours of wearing a dress? That is ridiculous when you can’t afford it. Even more ridiculous is waiting 14 years to marry someone.

      seriously, kleinfeld's is not the only bridal store in the country. you can find a dress identical to most of kleinfeld's selection at a smaller local salon for half the price or less. hell, shop online. as long as you take your measurements correctly and you try on something in the same silhouette, you can save a ton of money that way. also, i know it's their job to sell wedding dresses which is why they feel that way, but no you can't always cut from the budget elsewhere to pay for an overpriced one-day-only dress. less flowers? the only flowers i had were in my bouquet and i made them myself out of satin ribbon and hot glue. cut a guest? i only had 30 guests in the first place and that was the minimum to book a venue that included catering and let me bring my own cake and MP3 player to serve as DJ. and my dress was $125. so please, enlighten me as to what i should have cut back on to pay for a more expensive dress?

      Why should he have? It was her stupid choice to get that ugly thing, and if her mother was so massively foolish as to pay for it, then that was on her. The daughter should have gotten extra jobs to pay for that rag---it looked like it actually should have been worn by her 70 year old great aunt---but if the mother didn't stand up to her, then again, it was her fault. Dad didn't even like the dress, very clearly stated before he finally saw her in it.

    I would definitely cut the budget for a one time dress. I would not come here as the prices are a BIG rip off. First of all, my wedding would be small and not cost much. Big weddings are a waste of money. The smaller the wedding the longer the marriage and vice versa.

      The prices are not a rip off. They are prices that have couture gowns in a store that is located in Manhattan.

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 Месяц назад

      The so-called "third" dress was the first dress. She put it back on, despite it being way over her budget, and then getting Diane to lower the price ($5,100 down to $4,800). She then complained that that wasn't enough of a price reduction.
      She still had to pay AT LEAST an additional $1,000 for extensive alterations so the dress could fit her extremely 'plump' body, plus she had to buy a veil, shoes, etc.
      Even at the prices when this episode was made---2009---she was going to be shelling out a lot of money. She should have, and could have, chosen a dress that was considerably less that likely would have come closer to fitting her 200+ pound body in a more flattering silhouette, and then would have had sufficient funds for all the other things.
