Just picked up a 23 Badsquatch 2 weeks ago and I'm already building and tweaking it. You're video has me so pumped to head out West again with my new toy! I've had 3 jeeps and a Taco, but never hit the Rubicon Trail. I'm long overdue, and the new Bronco looks like it's the perfect choice for this challenge. Nicely f'n done, sir!
I've never understood the appeal of rock crawling but kudos to you guys for getting out there and pushing the Bronco's limits! Personally, I love ripping around trails like a rally car in my 2 door Bronco! 😎
Nice video! I love seeing Broncos on the Rubicon. Are your rigs pretty much stock? Do you guys have lifts other than SAS package? I have a 23 Badlands SAS and am thinking about trying it.
Yeah all of ours are pretty much stock. We all have the same amount of lift. the Blue softop had 37” tires but no lockers. You can definitely do it. Just be ready to take a beating. We opted out of doing some of the more famous difficult obstacles because we wanted to make it out alive and on time for the Nevada Bronco super celebration
@@karrpoollane up in Northern CA (Rubicon is an hour ish away). I drive to several big events a year too if you’re over in the Midwest or Texas area and wanna wheel!
California's hardest trail? Boy are you in for a surprise if you think this is hard.... Hate to see what happens when you find Fordyce or Johnson Valley.
@@TheWinterValkyrie Rubicon isn't exactly "hard" by modern standards even when you take as many optional lines as possible. I run it every year, usually a few times. It's slowly getting closer to the old days but it's not what it once was. JV is all over the place - wanna find easy? Sure. Wanna find hard? There's plenty of stuff that even buggies struggle on. There's a reason a certain race takes place there.

Great time! Would love to do the Rubicon some day. How are you liking the TrailRax? Is it true that it reduces the wind noise over a MIC Top with no rack?
It’s quite the experience. Hope you get to do it one day. I love the TrailRax. I couldn’t confirm if it reduces the wind over a mic top but it’s about as noisy as I’d expect a roof rack to be without being unbearable. I actually just snapped the side rails doing some Faster trails with the weight of the tent and awning on there.
Snapped the side rail???? Isn’t your tent the gofsr Aspen Lite? If so. That leaves something to question about their advertised load rating. Have you contacted them about warranty?
Nice work great video. I’m trying to get my 23’ Badlands ready to tackle this trail as well. What tires do you have on your rig? Yours looked the most Grippy out of all the caravan.
@@karrpoollane nice. I have a 23’ 2.3L 4dr Badlands SAS. My wife and I just went to NV OFFROADEO we are located out of Northern California. Looking to get on some trails ASAP.
nice footage of a rough, but beautiful trail. Every video I have seen of this trail, license plate holders and rear bumpers have been claimed by the trail. Did I hear that right? At the end you said one of the Broncos had no lockers but completed that trail? if so that's really impressive
The 2 door shorter wheel base bronco was a beast on this trail… where it seemed like the 4 doors struggled through some of the trail! I too have a 4 door 2023 bronco 2.7 Sasquatch package do you guys think mine would make it through? The rubicon trail has always been on my bucket list. Not sure I’d want to risk doing significant damage to mine. I also have a 1993 Jeep wrangler yj with Dana 44’s front & rear with Detroit electric lockers rolling on 35’s id probably feel more comfortable taking that through instead of risking body damage my new bronco!
As someone who lives pretty close to the Rubicon Trail, it's not CA hardest trail at all, but it's the most popular tourist trail. It also has 2 entrances on the West Side of the trail, Wentworth Springs and Loon Lake. Nearly every hard obstacle has a bypass that any rig can take in 2wd, which irritates us locals. Glad you had fun and took your Bronco offroad.
This is brutal. York rig is amazing. Rubicon is just a pure rock crawler trail. It's a cool trail, with amazing scenery, and I nevertheless prefer more exploring overlanding style tours. Several days, changing scenery, and good company.

Well thanks twin. Jealous of the 37s. Thanks for watching.

Watching the front tires spinning with stock tie rods 😬
We’re all the Broncos Badlands?
Nope. Weekends & waypoints has a different trim. No lockers
Great video, but the Rubicon is far from being California's hardest trail. It's about a 5 out of 10 in difficulty.
Thank you
Saved you the time: There IS a 2-door in this video. The music, unfortunately, is throughout.
I dont think the rubicon is the hardest trail. Try doing fordyce trail 😂
There’s only one Bronco in that group, the title is misleading.
There’s definitely 3 Broncos in the group. You ok?
I watched the whole thing. I saw one red Bronco and two lifted Ford Flex.
