The Rupture team can greatly benefit from using the awakening AEDD; they do not need corrosion. The statement that one would never use awakening AEDD is misleading, as it is actually a more cost-effective option and provides the 15-spark discharge that the rupture needs. The team I use for rupture is Tailsmen + AEDD + Gloom Units. The AEDD cost is not a problem for this team.
Fair point, I think part of why that was mentioned is that 3 attack weight is more damage, which is generally preferred, but yes, you definitely do still get the utility that AEDD provides on awakening. And Rupture teams often don’t need multiple body parts to have Spark Discharge anyways.
One thing you forgot to mention that makes Telepole Don even more stupid, she is one of the only EGO in the game to not have an indiscriminate target on Corrosion. Meaning you can intentionally corrode her and not have to worry about her hitting allies. It is unbelievably broken.
@@rumbiez4528 no, it’s intentional, the downside is large amount of rupture she applies to herself. Screw loose Meursault also has no indiscriminate on corrosion because he would die if he uses the corrosion attack 3 times.
Something I was surprised didn't get mentioned about Hex nail was it's flexibility. The normal form gives 3 pierce fragility and 1 envy fragility, while the corrosion flips that to 3 envy and 1 pierce, meaning you can take it on a pierce team or an envy team and still get good mileage out of it's debuffs. I also think if we ever get a really good Faust solo ID, it will become pretty wild on her through -45 sanity corrosion. It inflicts 3 Curse, which gives 1 of 4 debuffs then lowers the count by 1 each turn, but also deals 50% more damage to enemies who have Curse. So in a solo run where she corrodes and uses it multiple times in a row, as long as they all hit the same body part, the first one is going to make every following Hex Nail's damage absolutely skyrocket due to 40% more envy/pierce damage in addition to a raw 50% damage up. Though, I 100% agree with Escgoo when he mentions paralyize on Screwloose Wallop. People underestimate how insanely useful any amount of paralyize is, and it's like 99% of the reason I've been using Wishing Cairn and Wallop for ages before UT4 ever came out. For Meursault, sure Chains of Others is much better overall, but it's still a flat power reduction. Against some enemies like the Bull, -4 power doesn't really impact it as much as you'd wish. However completely an entirely negating a coin, on an enemy who has lots of single coin skills you need to win clashes against like the bull, having paralyze completely neuter it's ability to clash can change the fight so much. I've had plenty of times where I've corroded Wishing Cairn, because even if it's 1 less than the normal version, having a guaranteed 2 paralyze was far more essential than a 75% chance for 3.
REMEMBER, THIS IS AN UPTIE IV TIER LIST List does not go in chronological order and instead is ordered in my own way. Each character has their own section of EGOs. The only thing in order are the sinners. One minor benefit to using Ryoshu's Soda (and the same applies to Gregor's One Day) that I don't believe was mentioned is that your base sin affinity resistances change, which can be important in fights where you begin with no resources. It doesn't make them jump up a tier, far from it, but it's still something that makes them a little better.
I can't believe esgoo dissed the utility of ego amp from corrosion soda ryoshu, the ability to double ego generation can be valuable on certain teams that lack the generation of certain egos and with it only costing 3 glut, pride and envy, you can easily focus on on generating other sins you might be struggling to produce such as your only source of a certain sin being a skill one, being able to generate 2 sin from one move that you need to rely on makes it really good, sure it's not as good as FotF interms of damage but it should be in around A tier for being able to make certain teams that lack sin generation more viable (like burn struggling with sloth and gloom)
@@therealESGOOWhile I get that, even base Soda has a pretty decent niche in generating Gloom while consuming 0 Gloom. If you are just using OP IDs for Railway for example, it can be a not too bad alternative to your W Ryoshu getting double S1s and you fuel Rime Shank at the same time. It's not broken or anything, and Forest gives you 10 times the value, but it is pretty decent.
watchin this again got me thinking about holiday heath and man... i REALLY wish it was on anyone but heathcliff. with 2 of his best ids working even better with bodysack as a supplement its just tough to justify. especially so for rabbitcliff because hes really nice to have for a gluttony res team and like, i love +2 everything count as much as the next guy but damn... you ever wanna get hungry thinking about a base ego? cuz thats how you make that happen
Fun Fact: Capote Meursault is either bugged or mislabeled; it adds tremor based on burn potency not count, so on burn teams it's a reliable 99 stagger burst.
i like don fluid sac bc you can OC rime shank + coin repeat + don fluid sac oc + molar ish skill 3 on tremor enemy + deluge just kills anything weak to gloom on hmd, i think its 40_21 sinking on the main part, if you got the fairy gift its like 52 or something
With Faust 9:2 being lust. I always saw Wrath + Lust being the burn duo, as all Liu ids have both those sin affinities. Not to mention we had Wrath burn egos so it was time to make a lust one. I think another reason they chose Lust over Wrath, is because Lust is more common on the burn IDs. All of them have it on there skill 1 or 2, compared to Wrath where two of them have it as skill 3. So for absolute res, lust is easier for burn teams.
I also think it's lust because of Faust The one who Grips ID. nCorp is build about lust resonance with whistle and in Dungeons with NCorp don the ID is useable. I still don't like it that much and hope Sinclair's book ego will be better.
is funny how some predictions happen now that i see this tier list after season 3 is over. Maybe this tier list should get an update each time a season ends.
As person with terminal Hong Lu brainrot (all stuff u4 and lvl 40) i can see the point on those takes, especially about soda but that wont stop me from considering usage of his egos,no matter how bad they will be (and it wont stop me from U4 his egos in future, even if they will be bad),Hong Lu for life
decent tierlist but I refuse to believe there are any egos that are worse than 4th match yi sang. not only is it a shit ego by itself since its a fucking 7 cost that rolls 20 like seriously wtf pm but also it suffers hard from opportunity cost vs wishing cairn which is also aoe at uptie 4 (less slots but who gives a fuck when you can actually win clashes) has 2 damage types and has the completely unique utility of blunt resistance on a sinner who is blunt weak on basically all of his ids and paralyze on hit even if only on heads on an aoe is really nice. ik ppl like to think of dimension shredder vs sunshower when it comes to yi sang opportunity cost egos but 4th match is literally so gimped for this
IMHO the reason Roseate Ish is crazy is cuz of the corrosion, which is positive coins anyway, so it stops the whole "being negative coins sucks" thing As a side note I do also think Telepole hate is quite overblown because like, it speeds up most charge cycles by what, one turn? Unless W Don is the fastest, which is by no means guaranteed. If it didn't do that it would literally just not be a charge support EGO, and for one of the best charge units, R Ishmael, doesn't even benefit from it, and R Heathcliff isn't even a charge unit at all. It's most broken on W Ryoshu, who can skip her charge cost anyway like half the time. If you're gonna hate charge that's fine but Telepole is not why I'd say the charge units are all stupid good
Telepole, as an EGO, can fundamentally speed up every reasonably balanced charge kit to at least 60% of the way there. It removes the build-up time when Corroded, which is the entire balancing factor around Charge as a status effect. It is an unfathomably broken effect, and will NEVER be obsolete as long as charge IDs remain among the strongest in the game, which they are. It's a highly stupid enabler that is honestly just kind of... bad for game balance. It's the likely entire reason new charge IDs have moved to 15 charge as their requirement as opposed to 10, and why Self-Tremor as a charge-alternative even EXISTS.
@@captaingoomba6907 If it didn't speed up charge cycles by at least one turn, what would it even do? You say it's bad design and ESGOO says "Well, make it give like 3 charge instead of 12 cuz 12 is just so much", but the thing is, there's either two scenarios. Either 3 charge is enough to make it speed up charge turn cycles by 1 turn, and it is exactly as powerful as it is now, or, it is not, and is literally a useless EGO as charge support. You can argue that this is a fundamental problem with the EGO, sure, but at the end of the day, if you think it making the turns you have to spend getting a Mind Whip, DDEDR, or non optimal Rip Space off is 1 turn of charging instead of 2, then your problem is just that charge spending skills are too good, not that this EGO enables them too well, because that's about as bare minimum as an actual enabling as I think it actually can get.
Few issues with this tier list. Faust telepole should be in soup da as it has 0 meaning in existence. Faust 9;2 should also be in soup da as its jus genuinely weak and bad not even a burn id would save it. A super useless passive with terrible conditions and turning your burn into defense down? if it wa at least fragile then we can talk but its just defense down. And locking the aoe behind absolute resonance yea chief put it down. Effor hong lu should be in soup da and soda hong should go in in B. Effor is just a significantly weaker dimension shredder. less rupture fragile less rupture support the gluttony fragile isn't really called for rn and it deals piss poor damage and it might as well not have a passive. Its genuinely a worse product in a vain attempt at making an alternative. But even then it with being what it is there's no reason to run it aside to just fill space if you don't have dimension shredder. Soda hong deals good damage and the healing on hp or sp is pretty good unironically. Rositate hong lu its just why does it exist put it in soup da holy. The defense down is nice but the defense power down is actually useless. And the passive is also something you can't really get any use out of rn and if you really want lust fragility just use ya sanuya. I don't see ryoshu red eyes open in S. Its really weird. It CAN hurt and it CAN heal a lot. Idk S is definitely too high tho A or B is what it'd give it as PM just hates slash damage for some reason. Everything else i agree with
18:14 "I don't want this VOD to be like, 20 minutes of talking at the start and like, thanking chat." Well little late for that comment but glad someone wants to move along.
W don, unless you hate charge ids, reason being telepole fuels a next turn ripspace, but be prepped to uptie it to 4 because charge generation at uptie 3 is abysmal
@@puccifanboy4966 W-Don's energy gen is decent at least on her skill 2 at UT-3 (I would argue that she was the ONLY usable charge ID pre-UT-4); but yeah it does get a whole lot better at UT-4
y'all are sleeping on screwloose wallop. It was the first reason why mersault's been locked to having dogshit damage IDs before regret came out. Oooh, ryoshu can make an enemy take 10-20% more damage for one turn! Instant S-tier! Meanwhile mersault can inflict 3 paralyze, gain permanent haste, and deal 20-80% more damage permanently. Seriously. You cannot hype up the tiniest amounts of fragile and then sleep on this. Is it bad on mersault? Arguably, yeah, though Middle can actually use it pretty decently. The ego itself is amazing though and if it was on any other character, it would have become one of the most used EGOs in the game. Not gonna argue that regret isn't better, obviously, it is. But not everyone had the lunacy to burn for a
I was intentionally not comparing it to regret, but the point I was making is that for the majority of people regret isnt an option, and there's still a good 3 months until it will be.@@Late0NightPC
axe is high, sunshower overrated, dimension shredder is fucking *INCREDIBLE*. If you have W-sang, dimension shredder makes him one of the best units in the game by himself. Against mobfights yeah its not as good as sunshower, but there's a million other high aoe EGOs you can use. Against a boss? All of a sudden W sang has a 4 rupture count move and a 6 rupture count move. There is nothing that beats that in terms of rupture count.

4:41:51 The Insane Ramblings of ESGOO and Friends (Discussion of Game Balance for the Rest of the VOD)
I will remember this Esgoo
4:02:56 ESGOO ranting about shrimp Hong Lu is shrimply the best
Nice stream dude, hope you would do more in the future.
May your next 10 pull be only Sloshmael.
DAMN YOU I PULLED HER TODAY YOU BASTARD!
One thing you forgot to mention that makes Telepole Don even more stupid, she is one of the only EGO in the game to not have an indiscriminate target on Corrosion. Meaning you can intentionally corrode her and not have to worry about her hitting allies. It is unbelievably broken.
That feels like a bug/something they forgot
@@rumbiez4528 no, it’s intentional, the downside is large amount of rupture she applies to herself.
Screw loose Meursault also has no indiscriminate on corrosion because he would die if he uses the corrosion attack 3 times.
Up to 40 rupture on Don and 10 on the rest of your team + 5 fragile on all sinners is not enough for you?

One minor benefit to using Ryoshu's Soda (and the same applies to Gregor's One Day) that I don't believe was mentioned is that your base sin affinity resistances change, which can be important in fights where you begin with no resources. It doesn't make them jump up a tier, far from it, but it's still something that makes them a little better.
probably why PM is afraid of adding more zayin EGO
Esgoo yelling about how bad shrimpLu is was not something i knew i needed, and its so funny i knew he was bad but never realized HOW bad
Same Turn, on Corrosion, meaning you sacrifice a lot of sanity. You need Ryoshu to be very fast, and, again, you need to not run FFTF...
I kinda liked the previous stream a little better but this is cool too!

i like don fluid sac bc you can OC rime shank + coin repeat + don fluid sac oc + molar ish skill 3 on tremor enemy + deluge just kills anything weak to gloom on hmd, i think its 40_21 sinking on the main part, if you got the fairy gift its like 52 or something
That shrimp lu rant was exactly how i felt.
Really hate that its a flat number heal
As person with terminal Hong Lu brainrot (all stuff u4 and lvl 40) i can see the point on those takes, especially about soda
but that wont stop me from considering usage of his egos,no matter how bad they will be (and it wont stop me from U4 his egos in future, even if they will be bad),Hong Lu for life
soupclair is fun for nclair corroding to finish off waves in md2/h
Wow I got to hear Welvander’s voice for the first time.
decent tierlist but I refuse to believe there are any egos that are worse than 4th match yi sang. not only is it a shit ego by itself since its a fucking 7 cost that rolls 20 like seriously wtf pm but also it suffers hard from opportunity cost vs wishing cairn which is also aoe at uptie 4 (less slots but who gives a fuck when you can actually win clashes) has 2 damage types and has the completely unique utility of blunt resistance on a sinner who is blunt weak on basically all of his ids and paralyze on hit even if only on heads on an aoe is really nice. ik ppl like to think of dimension shredder vs sunshower when it comes to yi sang opportunity cost egos but 4th match is literally so gimped for this
Why is welvader often cut off when hes talking
would like to ask for an u4 ego recommendation or just follow this?thankss
IMHO the reason Roseate Ish is crazy is cuz of the corrosion, which is positive coins anyway, so it stops the whole "being negative coins sucks" thing
As a side note I do also think Telepole hate is quite overblown because like, it speeds up most charge cycles by what, one turn?
Everything else i agree with

y'all are sleeping on screwloose wallop.
But not everyone had the lunacy to burn for a

axe is high, sunshower overrated, dimension shredder is fucking *INCREDIBLE*.
