      Hi Steven. Thank you for the comment. This is dependent on the case…. and every case is different.
      If it’s a crystallised debt shortfall then it’s achieving the lowest settlement from that balance from there.
      If it's litigation, it's about avoiding court and the costs that mount with any hearing and judgment, negotiating the settlement in line with affordability, and being aware of asset risk in the UK.
      If it's negative equity - it's us working with our legal teams in Spain to use a myriad of tactics to ensure they accept the net proceeds of a sale as settlement of the mortgage.
      In Cyprus, it’s a case of negotiating with the Bank, and it can be more complex depending on the Bank, the developer’s, and our client’s position, as well as the old issue of Deeds.
