Schroth QuickFit ASM harness install on "fast road" E46 M3 build

- We're fitting the Schroth QuickFit ASM 4 point harness on our E46 M3 road car. This car still has back seats in place for enjoyment on the road and is fitted with Recaro CS Sportster seats. These seats are a great road / track hybrid seat, but top of the body still need some support to tie you into the seating position on track.

BMW E46M3 running:
- Deadweight Industries lightweight lithium battery (-20kg)
- Recaro Sportster CS (-20kgs)
- Yokohama Advan RS-DF forged wheels (12kg)
- AST 5100 coilovers
- Brembo BBK & Pagid RSL29
- Geoff Steele CSL Airbox
- Michelin Pilot SuperSport
Trying to figure out if these are approved for use with the Sportster CS seats. I found this warning text:
"Please note: These harnesses are designed to be used in stock seats that have passed a seat back strength test. Quick Fit harnesses are not approved for use with any fixed back or aftermarket seats with the following exceptions: The Cobra Nogaro and Recaro Pole Position ABE are approved for use with QuickFIt harnesses in already approved vehicles. "
Have you found any info saying otherwise?
@@tdottme no further information. Although the Sportster CS in my car is an OEM seat from a Megane RS Trophy. It's also the M Performance seat in the E9x generation cars.
Seats are mint 👌🏼
Yeah really rate them 👌 they came in quite a few OEM cars like Lotus Evora, Megane Trophy R, and was the option M Performance seat for a while
@@DWI_Community what seat is it exactly? And how comfortable is it for daily driving? I'm slowly turning my e46 into a track car but it will be a while before it's a dedicated track car. I visit the track once a month and I'm looking for good buckets but I wanted to know good reclinable seats, and yours look perfect. Where can I find them?
@@thbigshot101 These are Recaro CS Sportster. It's by far the best reclinable sport/semi bucket seats available. It's used in quite a few cars like: E9x BMW M Perforance Seat, Lotus Evora, Renault Sport Megane RS Trophy etc. I was running fixed buckets for a while, but needed access to rear seats.
