  • We sit down with HMS Motorsport owner Joe Marko for a complete overview of Quick Fit harnesses. Schroth Quick Fits are a 4 point harness that require minimal installation by simply utilizing your approved cars factory seatbelt anchors. Once two small brackets are bolted into your car, the belt can be installed or taken out in seconds. The best part? This is all with your stock seats!
    You’d be hard pressed to find a better harness solution for drivers who have dual duty cars (track and street). The Pro version is even the world's first 4 point harness that is designed to be used with a head and neck restraint device in your stock seats. This harness is available for many Audi, BMW, Ford, Mini and VW cars. There is even a Jeep Wrangler version coming soon!
    Learn More about Quick Fits and compatible cars below:
    Standard Quick Fit (not compatible with head and neck restraints)

    Quick Fit Pro (Head and neck restraint approved)

    Please note: These harnesses are designed to be used in stock seats that have passed a seat back strength test. Quick Fit harnesses are not approved for any fixed back or aftermarket seats. The standard version of this harness is not compatible with HANS or any other head and neck restraint devices. If you plan on using a HANS, the Quick Fit Pro version is compatible.

    Great video, but I have a question.
    I'm wondering if you have a DOT approved belt system that could be used in a vehicle that doesn't have rear seats.

    Do you sell a version actually labeled for the car in the video for NASA or PCA rules compliance?

    Thanks for the vid!
    I'm about to pull the trigger on these ones. Could you confirm this?: Once the anchors are set-up, we can still use the factory seatbelts when needed, is that correct? for both front and back seatbelts.

      Yeah, it does not interfere with the OEM seatbelts. It just adds two extra mounting points, but once you remove the QuickFit, you can use the OEM belts as always.

    Would this work in a 2015 Hyundai Genesis coupe ?

    So does the sub strap make the 4point into a 5point essentially

    Will it work with a harness bar?

    the angle is wrong though. harness setups in race prep states 20º max on the back straps. these look like 45º and could snap your back.

      Found a note on their site: "These harnesses are designed to be used in stock seats that have passed a seat back strength test."
      But I was not sure if a car is approved it means all the seats it came with have this back strength test, so I mailed them to confirm.

      @@mbardos hmmm. Wonder if it matters. I just see it pulling your back inappropriately.

    Hi do you have the SCHROTH QUICKFIT PRO for the Mk7 Fiesta ST, and could you tell me if there is a supply in the UK?

  • @iMann_iFail

    But these seats aren’t reinforced in the back.. it’s just a glorified factory seat. Surly attaching harnesses are endangering someone?!..

    • @RealCptHammonds
      @RealCptHammonds 2 года назад +1

      How would being strapped in better to an OEM seat create a problem???

    • @iMann_iFail
      @iMann_iFail 2 года назад

      @@RealCptHammonds because the seats aren’t FIA approved and they’re not reinforced at the back. So if there’s an accident where the Seat snaps, being strapped to the seat would literally snap your back in half.. whereas a seat belt allows body movement.
      Proper race spec’s bucket seats have to be crash tested and approved for race harnesses.
      A few years there was a young gentlemen in the UK whom had harnesses on his Ford Focus RS Mk2 factory bucket seats, he was involved in a crash and the result was a broken back because he folded with the seat when it gave out, that wouldn’t have happened with a seat belt.
