This was the best scene in the movie. Kate never really does comedy, so to see her carry this scene, it was awesome. She pulled this off perfectly. Knowing that she was dreading to do this scene because she didn't think she could pull it off, she nailed it!
I think that's what made me like this movie, Jack Black also seem to try a different genre from his regular movies, he's normally stuck in comedy with humor that isn't my personal taste, and I ended up liking him trying romance, who would have thought? The movie gave these actors a chance to experiment with roles or themes they normally wouldn't go for, I thought everyone did a great job playing these witty, enduring, and emotional characters.
It's obvious Iris knows her brother all too well. The way Amanda and Graham were asking about each other was enough for Iris to jump to the conclusion that they had already made out together!!!
This is the most sensible and mesmerizing movie of all time. These characters and the story like everything is so perfect. Each time I watch it I feel like I am watching it for the very first time. Never gets old and bore.
I love that scene too funny! Kate winslet pulled it off first comedy role Admire her, inspirational, down to earth and absolutely amazing human being. One and only best actress of her generation. ❤️❤️🥰
If I remember correctly Kate Winslet said she was really nervous about doing this scene because she wasn't sure she was able to do comedy. Well she pulled it off exceptionally well this was pretty funny.
my favorite parts of this whole movie were the Iris scenes cuz she was so relatable in this film like we have all been Iris at one point in our lives especially in our relationships with men or women😏and her cottage was what made this film gold
@Fiona O'Keefe, I agree, although I loved Iris' reaction to Amanda's big house and pool. I loved how Iris treated Arthur, and Miles was so funny and sweet. 🤗
If I could watch the movie holiday, twice a year, that would make my life. I don’t always remember to look for it, but I do remember the movie so well. Each and every scene was so special and hilarious at the same time.❤❤❤
Hi I live under a rock. I discovered this film recently when a cute person suggested. Can you please mention such cute, light hearted fun romcoms? Lots of love from Vizag, India❤
This scene is so amusing! If there is one tough job in romcoms these days is making the situation a good laugh. How Cameron & Kate pull it off so beautiful.
Jude & Kate worked thrice, The Holiday, All The President's Men & Contagion. Too bad Cammie & Jude only worked once, and too bad Amanda Woods & Graham Simpkins only stays on-screen. How much I ship Jude & Cammie together, 14 years passed by and I couldn't move on indeed!

It was a fantastic movie! They were all cast well. My favourite relationship was with Iris and Arthur. Kate did well❤❤
This scene actually made me watch the movie. And I am glad that I watched it but also a little guilty that it took me 16 years to watch it.
She did another great comedy with christoph Waltz... it's called Carnage. It's a Roman Polanski movie. Jodie foster is also in it...
Bollocks 🤣🤣🤣 gets me everytime lol favourite movie of mine. Love these 4 ❤️
"Still me!" Gets me every time 😁😂🤣
яйца
The expression on Iris's face is hilarious😂😂
same here 😁
Me too. And Kate's and Cameron's expressions are priceless.
1:26 Perfect facial expression, both Kate and Cameron 🤣🤣🤣
Women doing the open mouth thing when they are shocked or offended is hilarious. Noticed it after they ridicouled it on community
1:01 - That high-pitched “I can hold while you speak to her” always gets me! 😂

They cut the best part where she answers Miles (Jack Black) he says "it's Miles am I in trouble?" 😂😂😂😂

This is such a feel good movie, perfectly funny & enjoyable. All of them are adorable!
When I first watched this movie, I burst out laughing during this scene and couldn't stop for a moment....it was the best scene in the movie 🤣😂
Cameron Diaz is such a beautiful actress
The realisation and "ok....hold please".
How come Kate Winslet doesn't do comedy more often? She's hilarious!
As someone who discovered her through Finding Neverland, I’ll never know.
A fun fact: nowadays she gets recognized more for The Holiday than Titanic.
Kate Winslet is so funny! Especially when her eyes get really big!
One of my favorite movies ever, the music is still in my head, the scenes, everything
Love it ❤️❤️❤️
The soundtrack is available on Spotify, it’s beautiful and I listen to it all the time x
The sister institution is strong with this one...and is still yet a klutz!

This easily became one of my favorite Christmas movies..along with The Grinch with Jim Carrey :)
I get chills every time when Iris said what Amanda asked while thinking she was talking to her brother
Gorgeous Kate Winslet and her beautiful royal accent!!
Yeah, idk why but in this scene she seems more beautiful.
Royal accent?
British maybe.

Gawd I wish international transatlantic signals were that good lol
glad she isn't a secretary
to dizendo.
So girly❤
This movie is proof that Jack Black can play something other than a buffoon. He needs to do it more often.
Back in the day when you had proper films. Nowadays it’s mainly rubbish.
I’m glad we agree. I felt that way ever since the lockdowns
Bollocks....... LOL
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢
literally every time someone is shuffling a conversation and putting people on hold, you already know exactly what's about to happen ... lazy writing
Though both Kate and jude are both English, they over did the English accent in this movie - especially Jude - I'm a mEJA mEja weepah. WTH??
Cameron should have acted more with jude.. They are perfect..!!! He could have been a really nice husband too.
