I did this stuff 10 years ago, got caught, did some time and moved on with my life. I wasn’t stealing gift cards from the store to emboss. I had a guy in India create a vector image of a Bank of America debit card, sent that image to a credit card printer in China (they operated under the guise of a “plastic business card printer”), and had 10,000 blank credit cards shipped to me for $800. The embosser was $300 and the magstrip writer was $400.
Back then, you could buy dumps (credit card info) for about 60 cents a piece, depending on the market. I could write and emboss 20 credit cards an hour. I made a little bit of money doing it, but it’s a lot of work and fairly risky. It’s even worse now because the fraud algorithms are better, so the transaction is more likely to get flagged, and cameras are much better, so you can’t just drive a few states away and do it with impunity anymore.
The real money is in debit card dumps, but that actually hurt people, so I didn’t do it. With debit cards, you could pull all the money out of their bank through an ATM. You do one transaction just before midnight and another right after. You could pull $600-1000 off each card every day. The moral problem with it is that the banks don’t reimburse customers for unauthorized ATM withdrawals, so you were actually stealing money from real people.

As a person who got his card info stolen before, I can’t stand these mf thieves. Luckily, I receive a text after every purchase and was able to catch it and turn the card off before they did some damage.
Happened to me too …pretty sure they scanned my info thru my pocket at the airport but my alerts stopped them from spending over $600
... and never swipe a atm card. Stores have weak wi fi. Thieves sit on the dark web waiting for you to swipe that visa or mc atm card they got your password too.
Got smacked with a $800 jewelry bill from Germany! I'm in California. Fortunately my credit union stopped the charge and closed my card.
What works us credit cards. Harder to capture the number. But we know these tricks as we are taught this mess .... former bank employee.

I hope you realize cutting up new cards may stop you reading the magnetic strip, but it still has a RFID chip in it, that can be scanned from quite far away.. Theres ways to totally brick them and make them unreadable/unusable though.
@@nwerd7584 I drill holes in my RFID chips to deactivate them. The only problem with that though, is the card has to be inserted 3x’s before the machine readers will accept the swipe.

This died out in the early 2000s. Manual entry not happening these days, used to be known as 'tappers' in UK because the card number had to be manually typed into the CC machine by the salesperson when they realised the magnetic strip wasn't working.

I don’t know anyone who is still using this method. Its all pvc print cards out with matching backs and add the mag strips after then we code in the visa or MC meta data and strings. You gotta know how to code and bypass POST terminals security checks. The days of deglazing a gift card and embossing the numbers and just editing the info on the strip is over unless you are somewhere you know doesn’t have any real up to date standards for CC transactions.

Because I’m a true believer in the truth of what our personal spirit has to endure since we are all broken in some ways rather it’s a choice or a trait or trauma that break us down. they dont know until they see it in their account activity…. Hes not stealing cards, hes getting the numbers off of the darkweb or elsewhere and programming them into the card.. First time hearing of this gift card method, usually they just get blank cards and program them

Modern credit card readers don’t even let you swipe anymore lol. They make you use the chip than the swipe lol. He ain’t getting anything
@@jlee860 Debit gift cards don't carry the chip due to the cost, and the magnetic strip has to identify that there is a chip in the card for readers to demand you use the chip instead of swiping. The card issuer doesn't decline transactions just because the terminal didn't get the chip inserted.
MasterCard and Visa have said they won't phase out the strip until 2033, so even if you didn't see it, the reader is still in the machine.

What you need to understand is not everyone is eligible to work. You have convicted criminals that no one will hire. in today's market many people still can't work because they are not covid vaccinated. If you don't believe it just do the research. Keep in mind that nit everyone has the same morals or work ethics.
Sometimes the work just isn't there. I was a young criminal in the 90s and early 2000s, not because I didn't want to work, but because it was the only way to make money in my shithole city. When unemployment is double the national average in your town, people aren't exactly jumping to hire inexperienced 18 year Olds. Trust me, I would have much rather had the opportunity to be a welder than the opportunity to be a drug dealer.

I knew someone who did this in a small town not even that close to a city. They'd do an imprint of the card then use random ones to order random things to an unoccupied address, monitor the delivery status and stake out the empty house all day during delivery, pretend to be the person and accept the package. They're not geniuses, they just dont' care about hurting others or taking risks.
