I think both are right. Gondogdu always thinks about how people can be saved and he isn't in favour of migration. He always tries to avoid war. Where as Ertugrul always think how enemies can be defeated.
Gondogdu is wrong,they are going to attack eventually if they stay there like they are in a sheep cage,then the Mongols will attack like shepherds sacrificing the sheep but if you go with Ertugrul’s plan,then there will be difficulties and once they killed them all,they will have more bigger enemies in the seasons ahead but they have long peace if they kill Noyan early,they will have small enemies!

To be honest Ertugul was courageous but Gondogdu was intelligent. The idea to go to Aleppo was given by Gondogdu and not only that it was Gondogdu who saw Yigit's ring and band of Seljuks that ultimately helped Gondogdu and Hamza to trace Cardinal Thomas and Yigit .Not only that Yigit's belonging helped Gondogdu to get the idea of the whereabouts of the narrow passage to the entry gate of second tunnel of the Templar's Mount Amanos castle that eventually helped the Kayis to take the castle down.We must not forget that it was Gondogdu who tricked upon Kordoglu and helped in killing the traitor.

The gondogdu vs Ertergul storyline was very sad in season 2. They had such great chemistry together. Missed it in season 3-4
Even though Gundogdu and Ertugrul,has different ways to get to a goal We all felt gundogdu’s absence in seasons 3 and 4.
