When your child reaches teenager is no longer a child the best way to protect your children is to be a friend and listen what they saying or you will chase them away to the wrong. person's hand who will use them and abuse them as parent there is choices to be made it will be good idea to make right choice for the sake of your family.

54:01 idc the fight was funny🤣 Especially when the little boy walked up with the bat.
Nothing against the filmmakers. I know making a film in the beginning is hard work, but they really needed a second editor.
There’s entirely too many editing mistakes (randomly shifting aspect ratios 55 minutes in with no real reason), text information literally flashes on screen for one second and the credits shows the same information about 2 or 3 times.
Just keep that in mind for future films they make in the future.

JTV Media i worked with some we’ll known names yes. Wouldn’t say I’m at the top tier yet, but I’ve been editing videos for over 10 years now.
I did similar editing things in the past, so it’s just sharing some honest criticism on how I feel the movie can be improved without losing their vision for the story

If I could rate this movie, it would be a 3 out of 10. Because if started of good then it went in a totally different direction. I was confused in the middle of six months earlier. What happened? Did it ever catch up to where it beginned?! 🤷🏾♂️

This was a good movie it seems lisa was better mother towards that young woman then her other mother. Sad there are women like character mother who will more concern about having half a man then the kids. Bad cycle of generation.

I have to agree with everyone that said that this movie was all over the place it's just not consistent
The mom needs alot of healing she is miserable. I tried to watch the movie but it's too much cursing in the beginning for me to follow along. It looks like it has a great story line, God bless you guys. Prayerfully the daughter became a better person.

Part 1 didn't transition right. After the stepfather left the the movie should've showed where the family dynamic changed for the better. The writers took the focus off of the highschool relationship and threw in an unnecessary club scene that caused an epic film fail..smh. How they go from school kids to a club where they partake in drinking? Then the girl and boy saw each other and spoke briefly like they were kin..smh so dumb. The focus should've been to make her poem become a reality on film.

Sally Sharp I mean as a mother she is obligated to protect her children whom are minors from abuse, drugs, etc. As a woman you shouldn’t be laying up with those kinda men in the presence of your children.. I mean having kids doesn’t make a woman a mother.. I know lots of women whom have given birth but don’t qualify as mothers.. my mother never brought anyone she dated into our home after she & my father divorced.. but my mom also didn’t date abusive men, users, drug abusers so I can’t speak for people in those environments..I just couldn’t understand someone’s mom talking to them as disrespectful as she spoke to her daughter & sons.. there’s no excuse for her behavior

Okay, this movie actually started off really good. A little over the top in some aspects but it actually made sense. I believed the girl coming from an abusive household and a terrible mother. I could believe that. But the ending messed up the entire movie. Please, please stay on point. I am seeing a constant pattern with these low budget independent black films...they actually have some great potential, but the scenes skipping from one thing to the next and not enough supporting context to understand what the HELL done happened is what creates confusion. This girl done grown up overnight with no explanation as to what happened beforehand?! At least have a transition scene or something?! Damn that ending didn't make no damn sense and whoever the producer/filmaker of this movie know good and damn well that ending made no sense! LOL! Nice try tho y'all nice try...

This movie had no clear plot and the main character's persono was drastically different at the end for no reason. Whomever wrote the script got lost at one point and just gave up.
Wth did i just watch..as a theater major i know its hard to write a movie from beginning to end but whoever did this movie has too do better wat kind of ending was that. Not to mention the script was all over the place. Where was the plot storyline message something to make me feel like i didnt just waste two hrs of my life. Oh well.

Wow... What a movie. 🙄 An hour into the movie and I just couldn’t watch anymore. The mother was just pathetic. Nothing in the movie seemed to make sense to me. Not sure what the moral of the storyline was. However, I did find the part where the street walker tried to give “self respect” advice to the young teen very funny. 🙄
