Today, I'm seeing TCU which SHOULD honor their past with a fierce rivalry against SMU, and then against Baylor but, no... their fans don't care enough to drive 30 minutes to Dallas to attend the decades-long surefire wins. Sonny Dykes and TCU had a lightning in a bottle CFP year and therefore gets a contract extension, new facilities, new collectives, new eyes, all just to go under .500 for back to back seasons. you gotta remember they’re in Texas and it’s one of the hardest states to recruit in when you got money packed Texas, Texas A&M and SMU. this year’s recruiting class was average while next year’s is above average. you just can’t lose to one of the worst Houston teams in recent memory letting them get a Big-12 win
Lightning in what bottle? TCU wasn't any good two years ago. Half of their games involved getting into wars with weak Big 12 teams. I recall the Baylor game I believe when the Baylor QB could have easily iced the game and ran out the clock, but he missed a wide open receiver on an easy throw or something like that. Then Kansas State, who got blown out by Alabama in the bowl game, beat TCU in the Big 12 Championship Game. TCU was awful, but the committee didn't want to alienate that part of the country.

For my Alma mater to win and win the way they did, says a lot. I did not expect my Coogs to win. This actually hurts the perception of the Big12. If Houston was 4-1 or made a bowl last year won it and TCU not look fraudulent, then this would not be too bad or surprising of a loss. But given how Houston has played last season and this season and given that TCU was awful last year, this was a game they had to win and didn’t. They (TCU) and the Big12 two years ago were fraudulent and stole a playoff spot and victory and was proven by the beating down by SEC schools over Big12 schools that year. Alabama had beaten several quality teams that year. And for idiots to defend KST saying Alabama beat no one that year and didn’t deserve even to be 5th in rankings actually diminishes and further degrades the Big12 not elevate it. Lots of idiots and hypocritical people in the Big12 and ACC say because of last Fiesta Bowl loss by Liberty, that G5/6 don’t deserve to be given a high seed or a chance.
