Thank you, for your reaction, if you can it's worth reacting to some of her other songs from the period. I have quite a few of her albums and I now I have been purchasing the reissued deluxe extended versions. However, my favourite female artist is someone you might have heard of recently, due to the key role one of her songs played in the latest series of Stranger Things and that would be "Kate Bush" who had a truly massive vocal range. It has estimated to be about 4.5 octaves (Bb1 - F7). I was hooked as soon as I saw her performance in a white dress on the official music video of her debut single "Wuthering Heights". A song that was so different and unique that it turned into a worldwide smash hit (but not in America).
You're lucky enough to find the genuine 1980's song - full of energy, punkish and mystical at the same time. Early Toyah albums are very good at being what punk culture is about. But You can also try listening to another forgotten 1980's female singer from the UK - Danielle Dax, who presented the avantgarde side of music.
Toyah was an amazing band back in the day . Huge in the uk in the early 80’s used to love her . Thank you for such a positive reaction
Try Nina Hagen "Naturträne" Live 1978
Hazel O'Connor another British artist is also worth a look into ..can I suggest "will you" by her,its beautiful x
Never ever thought i'd see a toyah reaction on youtube, I had a huge crush on her when i was small.
You must seek out more from Toyah. If it was the second half you liked then you will enjoy the rest of her stuff. Thanks for giving her your time.
Haven't expected to find a Toyah reaction! She was a godess!
You should check out Toyah's "It's A Mystery".
