- I'm so happy to have finally caught one of these on camera, and in my home town too! I'd really like to ride one someday. Maybe next time I visit Brockville, I'll take the train. ;)

I saw a few of these Chargers when I went to Canada, and I especially liked the fact that they're streamlined like Brightline's Chargers. And then I actually rode behind one, and inside the Venture coaches, which I found nice and comfortable. I'm happy that VIA Rail and Amtrak are receiving new trains that'll modernize their fleets and make their trains more efficient.
Glad you had a good experience with them! I do agree their design does resemble that of Brightline's chargers with the pointed nose, even the color scheme bares some resemblance. What route did you travel on? I'm curious since some tracks are smoother than others.
@@TheRailfan360 Ottawa to Montreal. We did have a short delay departing from Ottawa though, but sometimes, new engines are like that.
I've seen a lot of Amtrak trains with these Siemens Charger locomotives. I've seen ALC-42 locomotives on the Amtrak Coast Starlight and SC-44 locomotives from WSDOT and Caltrans.
They're getting more common by the day
I have been waiting for you to post a Siemens train ... hopefully it rides as good as it looks
I'm sure it has improved suspension and will likely handle the more rougher parts of the CN Kingston sub better.
Congratulations!
Thank you!
Amazing how quiet the new locos are
Quite so. They don't scream like an F40 and they don't chug like a P42.
I actually caught one…
Then proceeded to get on and ride it…
It’s really nice to ride
That's great to know. I was hoping the experience would be new and improved.
@@TheRailfan360 It is, and it doesn’t feel like you’re sitting on the wood that the seat is shaped from because of the worn cushioning on the old trains
