Ren said that this was proof of concept for a dark musical series for Netflix. He already has quite a few episodes written. I don't know when. But, if HE wants it. It WILL happen. Loved the reaction and the way ypu were BOTH captivated. He combines everything to paint the perfect picture AND get people emotionally involved with the characters. Master class storytelling.
All of his video's like this were done on a 100-pound budget. He had made from busking. The bed he is sitting on in the hospital gown was a child's bed. Notice the size. I have followed Ren for about 10 years, so enjoy the journey, I have. Love your reactions!
He's got a new album dropping in a month. He's released a bunch of the tracks as singles already. The banger on the album has got to be "Murderer". There's an official video which is really fun, and a live acoustic version that has it's own vibe too. I'd recommend that next.

What a performance. And it wasn't originally intended to be a three part thing. Story timeline: Violet died of violence after giving birth in 2005. Screech was 14 when he crossed paths with Jenny, who was also 14. So their stories take place in 2019. Ren released Jenny's Tale in 2019. He released Screech's Tale about a year later in 2020. And he released Violet's Tale just about a year ago in 2022. Despite the years between this is now a seamless masterpiece of performance. Pick more Ren. Any song. All amazing. And don't sleep on Chinchilla. Blessings.

Ren's fans call this style Bardcore & Here's my understanding of how the origin story of this trilogy came to be & the messages within. 🤩😁🤯 This wasn't originally a trilogy story. Ren read a small article about a 14 yr old boy killing a young prostitute with a knife in an attempted robbery. Knife crime had been skyrocketing in London at this time. Later that same evening the boy had been shot and killed by the armed police unit responding to a possible suspect for a girl found murdered in Sussex Gardens in Paddington - one of the capital's most notorious red light districts. It disturbed him, so he set out to write a commentary not just on senseless violence, but on how desensitized we've become to it. The words he ends both Jenny and Screech's Tales with is "It's such a Shame" we say these words all to often and just move on without a second thought. The the lead inspector was quoted saying " So Young, It's such a shame". Violets Tale was written over 2 years later adding another layer of commentary by Ren. He wanted us to consider not only generational violence but to make us look at all angles of society that we turn a blind eye to. Both characters are born out of violence on that cruel night of Violets beating and then both killed with brutal violence in the same night 14yrs later. Also, his lyrics have even more meaning when you read in between the lines. For example he doesn't say what Jenny was doing or why she wanted to escape from this place & life, or why Screech thought she was older saying at Patrick's door "I left this lady lying on the floor". Could that be because the way she's dressed & her heavy makeup? Also why was a 14yr old girl out so late in the dead of night walking alone in a sketchy area, wearing high heeled shoes, walking down a street that "she's walked it a thousand times before"? Everything points to Jenny being an underage prostitute, showing us what Ren writes has reason & is made to make us think. There's no fat on the bone, every word is weighed & has meaning. Interesting how Jenny has the same traits as her mother Violet, quiet, voiceless, and timid. Whereas Screech mirrors his father Stevie (the Prick boyfriend) in every way, Loud, obnoxious, and easily provoked to violence. They didn't know one another and had never met their biological parents. What made these kids so much like their parents? Was it simply Nature, inherited traits due to their genetic make-up OR Nurture, being brought up in the broken governmental system filled with, mistreated & in many cases, abused children, shuffled from one foster home to another ? He organically takes us on this journey, leaving us to think shouldn't we be doing better in this so called "advanced, wealthy, 1st world society. I'm loving your reactions. Cheers 🥂

Ren did this to exemplify how these situations continue to happen again, and again. Pointing out that it's an unnecessary cycle of inevitability. If you happen to watch it again at some point, I don't want to spoil it, but let me recommend that you pay close attention to all the characters, and their isolation from anyone and everyone else. Particularly, notice the visuals that accompany them as those moments transpire. It's such an under reported aspect, and I just feel like it deserves more recognition for it's artistry, and the intended message behind it.

Money Game Parts 1 and 2 would be a good idea, seeing as how Part 3 is in the works. It's Ren's most ambitious video yet with a budget of a whopping $1250. Everything he does is just he and his friends, all in a small neighborhood. Truly independent.
Yeah, he's been playing constantly ever since his early teens. That's certainly a lot of work that has been put in to get to that level, talent be damned "He'd be a great actor" Yeah, that's actually his endgame. He's trying to pitch a series with one of his videographers and good friend Sam (with his music and also him acting) to Netflix, hopefuly they bite (and if they do don't interfere too much)

With his story telling you should check out the money game trilogy. There you can also see his evolution. Money game 3 has the highest budget of a project he's done but doesn't suffer for it like so many other projects. It stays true to its message and his style.
I'm curious what you guys will think of his more straightforward rap stuff. Keep in mind when you do he also makes all his own beats for those unless they're labelled a "retake" maybe try the all my life retake first. You guys are killing it. Always annoys me when others don't notice the absolutely deliberate use of reverb from the various rooms he walks through.

Hello! Money Game 3 will drop October 12th. You could maybe watch the prebious 2, MG 1 is a live one take and MG 2 is a lyrics video. I love pratically everything Ren has ever done, but these are my favorites. Ren himself is very excited about MG 3, so... loving your reactions. 🙂
Money Game Parts 1 and 2 would be a good idea, seeing as how Part 3 is in the works. It's Ren's most ambitious video yet with a budget of a whopping $1250. Everything he does is just he and his friends, all in a small neighborhood. Truly independent.

Yeah, that's actually his endgame. He's trying to pitch a series with one of his videographers and good friend Sam (with his music and also him acting) to Netflix, hopefuly they bite (and if they do don't interfere too much)

With his story telling you should check out the money game trilogy. There you can also see his evolution. Money game 3 has the highest budget of a project he's done but doesn't suffer for it like so many other projects. It stays true to its message and his style.

I'm curious what you guys will think of his more straightforward rap stuff. Keep in mind when you do he also makes all his own beats for those unless they're labelled a "retake" maybe try the all my life retake first. You guys are killing it. Always annoys me when others don't notice the absolutely deliberate use of reverb from the various rooms he walks through.
