i think he is going to be a good scaling midlaner
they didnt rework him to "be an adc" they reworked him to be more consistent and be viable on botlane again. Being viable pick on bot is not the same as being pure adc. He will still be a midlaner, but you can pick him on bot and not troll.

I really liked Corki as the "magid damage ADC" while not playing him as much, what sucked about this is that now he don't have exactly a personality in the game. Riot really should acknowledge his problem and go for a VGU instead of reworking and then undoing it multiple times...
He reverted back to his original self, an adc trinity user like ez, the skills are almost as the used to be before the rework even
@@VancoldGH Yep, but it's kinda weird to do that after almost a decade of him being different. They want him out of mid? There's dozens of ways to do that that wouldn't be just making him the same after 10 years, and again, the problem here is that now he lacks originality
I really don't think true damage is healthy for the game
@@yuzmanitoim traumatized from smolder. Also aside from supps, basically almost every single champ has some form or true dmg in the form of like on attack/onhit or an execute
@@yuzmanito its actually weaker than magic dmg passive he had, the true dmg is essentially armor pen, while magic dmg passive does more dmg since champs have such low magic resist.
I remember the adc rework in season 6, where riot wanted to make 6 adcs more unique and in the end we had 3 adcs less.
Especially when half the changes got removed in Patches later anyway.

@@TheArne959 the changed adc were: quinn, kog maw, graves, corki, caitlynn and miss fortune.
Corki completely disappeared from bot lane, but, if the changes on pbe go live, is reverted to a state even before the rework. Graves is now jungle and no longer adc, maybe some Players go top and mid. Quinn turned into a jungler immediately after getting nerfed to death in lane (her passive was waaaay stronger then) and now plays top and jungle. Kog maw got an amazing double attack speed buff with w, but got completely reverted (they shoupd have turned his passive into getting double attack speed and only dealong on hit damage for the duration imo). MF is great, still the same. Caitlyn got a few changes with abilities which have all left iirc.
@@drawbyyourselve right i forgot most adc cjanges where pretty minimal compared to there tank assassin and mage counterparts who got there whole kits reworked in some cases.
But yeah cait got the trap/heatshot mechanic quin her ult reworked.
Graves was compleatly changed.
Corki got the package.

And mf seems thesame for like ever but yeah she had some minor tweaks

try full crit corki with shadowflame - IE work on SF crits and you have true damage on auto
build be some like :
river + navori+colektor++infinity edge+ shadowflame+ bots( upgrade to zefir or some other item , maybe GA)
if i calculate correctly is be : 15% base *(1,2shadowflame multiplayer+0,5infinity edge crit bonus)≈25% damage in form of true damage on crit ( in this build you can have 100% crit)
or if we watch this from AD perspective ≈ 50% AD on every auto in form of true damage ( like small Vaine)

The support item and just the overall freedom they've given the role in general is such a welcome change, but I wish they'd revert a lot of stuff back to Season 3. I remember playing Season 3 back when I was in highschool (it literally was like 11 or 12 years ago now) and it was so much fun. The game just made sense. Now the game is just all these 200 years champions and playing adc just feels terrible. You used to have to get caught out of position as ADC to fuck up and die for no reason, now the way adc feels is like you don't even want to right click anyone because the second you're in range to shoot at someone, a tank is just going to run you down with their 30 on hit movement speed items and 10k health, and you're not going to be able to kill them even though the only thing you're building is damage.
ADC season 3: Farm minions, don't dive the enemy team, stay away from assassins, attack towers when appropriate.
ADC season 11-14: Hope the stars align and everyone forgets that you exist, because the second they realize you're hitting them, you're going to get stunlocked and hatefucked until you die.

The way they described this rework from Phreak, it was like his entire kit was going to be reworked. I feel like this was a small band aid to the overall problem.

I really feel like stacking to 100% crit isn't a great idea, particularly if you're skipping bloodthirster. If you're IE+75%, sure the extra 25% would help... but a lifesteal item would probably buy you at least an extra auto attack, particularly now that it has the shield back. The extra auto is worth more damage than the missed crit, and you'd be sacrificing only a tiny bit of burst.
From watching this I'm thinking that Corki needs to build to survive more. Maybe a bruiser ADC type build. Trying a AD assassin would be interesting.
If Riot wants to buff adcs, they need to buff their XP. Just shift shared XP from assists more towards the final hit. Can still keep the total XP from assisted kills the same.
Physical damage rockets means it lethality Corki time. (Might actually be good with the E shred)

Hey, an idea is, if they haven't fixed the Pyke Heartsteel glitch, you could do it with the new hp ad converting item since I am pretty sure the item scales off item bonus health
pyke doesnt get bonus health so its pretty much useless
It seems more so that Corki is supposed to be built for High AD/Crit instead of attack speed. You could maybe play him more like an AD mage while getting in an auto here or there to get more rockets
How about an on hit Kennen AS build with the new items, A Kennen with the new torch item or even tank Kennen that stuns and sucks life with the new armor while you just stun lock and drain them.
Idk I feel like Muramana, trinity would just dump damage with attack speed boots to make stack weaving better. But also for a caster adc I feel like all the attack speed items just wiff on Corki cause damage stacks the % true damage and if you’re just riven style auto ability auto ability just 300ad 1.2 atk speed has to do more damage then 220ad 2.2 ark speed by alot

Reading the patch notes for Corki made me realise that there is a world were Bruiser Top Corki is viable
Day 1 of asking for a bruiser corki top, using tri force and iceborn gauntlet getting the bonus true dmg on both of the sheen procs
Selling triforce for bt prob wouldve been better than selling reaver
They added Smolder into the game and still thought "You know what... I think we don't have enough True Damage".

You need LWR coz mode ad dmg = more true dmg, it scales from ur ad.
yeah, its weird, like they reworked Essence Reaver just for new Corki
Its so funny how they can never land ADC itemization right, ever. Now ADC will be back on having to deviate from crit just to have some survivability or sustain, instead of having ADC specific items that give them safety or sustain, game is doomed xd
they increased the crit to enable adc's to be able to put an item slot or two into other things and original adcs when they were super strong never got 100% crit anyway.
I stopped playing Corki once he became an apc. Glad he’s back adc.
