Mine squeaked right out of the box. I heard yours squeaking too. It doesn’t have a lifetime warranty it has a lifetime service agreement if you take the time to fill it out. The squeaking can be silenced with some oil if you pry the small round cover off the back of the motor. (No need to remove the torx screws) The motor is brushed and fairly noisy. The alignment of the blade assembly to the shaft is a bit wobbly. The rest of the design seems durable enough. I don’t expect this to last. There are tons of 1 star reviews about the squeaking. I think is has a poorly designed motor assembly but time will tell. I have a bunch of Rigid batteries so I was hoping it would last a while. I use it in my house too so being quiet is an issue for me. On a jobsite it is probably fine. It moves a fair amount of air. A 9Ah battery lasts pretty much all day on high. (Sorry, I didn’t time it.). For the retail price I would have hoped for a brushless motor, better bearings and blade alignment.

How long did the battery last on high vs low?

Disconcerting, not discerning. Thanks for the review. I have two of the previous models, which I prefer - battery in the back, variable speed control in the front. The previous model was also cheaper - of course.
