Dali City in Yunnan Province is really beautiful. My profile picture was taken when I went to Dali for vacation. You can walk by the Erhai Lake, sit down and drink Yunnan coffee (Yunnan coffee is also very famous, you can look for it), look at the different clouds on the plateau and some folk singers singing. It is a very relaxing place.
Cheers, I like your videos, I've watched a couple of them so far and will keep watching more. One comment here, from a foreigner who has spent about 20 years in China, there is no need to be an hour earlier to a train station in China, I take those high speed trains on a regular basis, at least monthly if not weekly (I've taken a Chinese high speed train probably more than 100 times now over the past 15-20 years since they first started, they keep improving the speed and experience all the time, now you can even order F&B brought right to your seat from the restaurants at the next station etc). Right now, depending on the station (big ones will have some queues but not more than 10 min, small ones are super fast) arriving to the station about 20 minutes before scheduled train departure will work fine. I've never missed a train in China yet, I have missed an airplane 2 or 3 of times though as those airport check-ins sometimes decide that they close 60 min before departure and you can't check in anymore even if you could make it to the place. Trains work much better.

There are actually many cities and many provinces to visit. For example, Hunan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, and so on and so forth. Those places are definitely nice too.

The biggest challenge in terms of train travel would probably be the Russian west to east train that takes five days. Prob best to wait a couple years with that one though, they are a bit busy over there in Russia atm. However, you can do the train to Tibet while you're in China. That should be an adventure as well!
You can try to come to northeast China, you will experience another kind of local customs, where the prices are lower, the pace of life is slower, and it is very comfortable.❤
I suppose this is Hexie CRH (strat with "C/D"). I'm not sure, but sometimes I consider Fuxing CR (start with "G"), which was the train last time you took, is better. Because Fuxing has Wifi.😄
cool you visit a lots of cities. I visited Chongqing 5 years ago. At that time the water of river is so high, reached the gate you show in previous video.

Some factors affecting train runtimes: there are multiple stations in a city, heading to Chengdu, Chongqing North is farther away than Chongqing West, chengdu south is farther than chengdu east. Direct service vs service with more stops. And different operating companies. The train you were on is run by Chengdu railway company (heard from the announcement) but there are other companies (Shanghai company, Kunming company etc.) on it as well. Services will be slightly different among different companies just like airlines.
Won't you guys consider visiting western Sichuan? It's also a Tibetan area with very charming and unique scenery, and it's very close to Chengdu with no entry permits.
China's slow train is 295km/hour which tells you how advanced the infrastructure is in China. I hope you will try the Maglev one day in Shanghai, the fastest train in China.
China maintains the same ticket price for many years but the people income have multiplied a few times. As a result, more and more people are able to afford HSR travel. There are more people travelling by HSR than the normal green trains.
Chengdu-Shapingbang(chongqing) takes 1 hour, Chengdu-North Chongqing takes 2h+, Shapingbang is far from other part of chongqing, and 2h+ one takes you directly to urban chongqing, chongqing has 9 main districts and more rural areas so different railway stations in different areas take different time. Also different routes, some are direct train some are not, and the price depends on kilometers, so direct train is actually cheaper.
China's high-speed rail network is renowned worldwide for its efficiency, punctuality, and comfort. Whether you're traveling to any major city in China, the high-speed train is the ideal choice. Starting from Wuhan in Hubei province, you can quickly reach major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Wuhan, as the central city of Hubei, not only serves as a crucial hub in the high-speed rail network but also embodies a blend of modernity and traditional culture. Visiting Wuhan allows you to experience convenient high-speed travel and explore its rich historical background, culinary delights, and modern urban landscape. We warmly welcome everyone to visit Wuhan, Hubei, and discover this vibrant and charming city!
I guess this train was named after "D", the last train to Chongqing may be named after "G". The "G" train is much faster than the "D" train, and also provide snacks for first class passengers.
When you book the train through APP. it should show you how many trains will go to your destination including train number, time, durating, speed, stop stations, etc. it will give you several options for selection. I do like these options because different peopole can select the best way for them.
FYI, "first class" is usually not the top class of seats in China's high speed trains. Instead, "business class" is the most expensive and luxurious one. This is in contrast to the typical class in commercial airlines. The naming scheme is a little odd (it does make sense when you consider second and first class seats as two tier of the same "economy class", while "business class" is for those willing to pay extra such as those on company expenses =)).
Hi there, there's no thrid class. In China high train system, there are 3 classes: Business (which is the most expensive and the best experience), then is 1st class and 2nd class. You should try business class sometime :) Hv a nice & lovley day :)
The speed of the train has nothing to do with the first-class business seat. From your video, it can be seen that the speed of the high-speed train is 300 per hour. It has something to do with the train number. There are many trains in the same destination and the time is different. Maybe you didn't pay attention when buying the ticket. Before buying the ticket next time you buy the ticket, you can check where the departure place of the train you want to buy. Open the map and compare it. This is faster and saves money.
The train, or EMU, u took from Chongqing to Chengdu was CRH3C, which has the maximum speed of 310 kph. The train in previous video that from Chengdu to Chongqing is CR400AF-Z, which possesses the max speed of 350. If u want to enjoy the speed of 350 kph between Chengdu and Chongqing, just choose the train number begins with G86xx.

Prob best to wait a couple years with that one though, they are a bit busy over there in Russia atm. However, you can do the train to Tibet while you're in China. That should be an adventure as well!
Thankyou
i guess you guys really love staying in sichuan, especially in chengdu 🥰
Very excited to see your adventures, we gonna go too!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
On the way . keep goning!!!
You can try to come to northeast China, you will experience another kind of local customs, where the prices are lower, the pace of life is slower, and it is very comfortable.❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Guangxi province is also beautiful, enjoy your time in China, love your video❤
Big window this time 😄
Yes we loved it! Headed to 2 new provinces very soon ❤️
Very enjoy it! Say hello from Cali.
i believe this is D train, if you wanna higher speed, it's G train, you may see the train type on trip number when you book next time
I suppose this is Hexie CRH (strat with "C/D").
Thank you for your video

@@TwoMadExplorers there is a small town taicang 太仓 which is called the German city in China. It's very beautiful it looks exactly like in Germany many places in this town and thousands of German companies in this small city. It's very close to Shanghai and I can tour your guys there.

pretty good, I love your videos🥰

Some factors affecting train runtimes: there are multiple stations in a city, heading to Chengdu, Chongqing North is farther away than Chongqing West, chengdu south is farther than chengdu east. Direct service vs service with more stops. And different operating companies. The train you were on is run by Chengdu railway company (heard from the announcement) but there are other companies (Shanghai company, Kunming company etc.) on it as well. Services will be slightly different among different companies just like airlines.
I also like having longer time on car or train
have a good time
❤️❤️❤️
The sofa is mine!😂😂😂
You should try business class, the highest level of this train.
We will soon for sure ❤️
love from guangdong😊
Won't you guys consider visiting western Sichuan? It's also a Tibetan area with very charming and unique scenery, and it's very close to Chengdu with no entry permits.
Finally wait for your video!❤
What’s your travel plans next? Looking forward to seeing more China series from you
Guangdong. I saw it haha. If you are in Shenzhen, happy to be your guide.
Yes Guangdong and Yunnan ❤️😊
Isn't it going to Guangdong? Why did you return to Chengdu again?
We are going to see some pandas first! Then to Guangdong and Yunnan ❤

China's slow train is 295km/hour which tells you how advanced the infrastructure is in China. I hope you will try the Maglev one day in Shanghai, the fastest train in China.
China's slow train are green wagons from the 80s travelling at 80-100lm/h, just like the shanghai maglev which is also from the 80s and from Germany.

Chengdu South to Chongqing West takes 6h+, ¥418, and still high speed train, coz it’s very far and 9 stops in between including other provinces
Next stop after pandas is Guangdong and Yunnan ❤

China has three of kind train , first speed train 200 to 250Kmh - second high speed train 300 to 350Kmh - third high speed train 350 to 450Kmh .
I suppose speed is set depending on traffic no of stops and distance, longer the distance would have less stops and speed would be faster

Business class is more luxurious than the first class on high speed trains.
I guess this train was named after "D", the last train to Chongqing may be named after "G". The "G" train is much faster than the "D" train, and also provide snacks for first class passengers.
like your videos, keep updating plz.
nice
Business class is the best class level
❤️
Was taking in the opposition direction last month
Additionally, there is a new high speed railway line built between Chengdu and Chongqing, which has the velocity of 400 kph. U can take it after 2027.
