What are your thoughts on the tube inflatable tire versus a solid tire or even the pneumatic tire concept? While I know it is subjective to the rider style, riding surfaces, terrain, etc., how vulnerable are the tires to punctures? Thanks in advance for your time.
Hi Don, it definitely depends on rider preference and the other variables you mentioned. The air tires (pneumatic, tube, whatever you want to call them) offer the best ride quality but you do have to worry about getting flats. Puncture resistance seems to be fairly reasonable though. So far we don't have a lot of experience with the honeycomb solid tire option for the Zero 8 and 9. We did have one customer who had a honeycomb tire on the rear of a Zero 9 that didn't work out but not much other feedback. Hope that answers your question.
@@RideTheGlide Hi I'm thinking seriously to buy the Zero 9. What do you mean about honeycomb tire didn't work? Because I also want to buy a solid tire just in case i'll need it.
@@omegarojo790 For this particular customer it seemed the the tire over heated, becoming malleable, which allowed it to start slipping off of the rim. This brings me to believe that the honeycomb tires aren't suitable for all riders or all uses. I would say they are less suitable for heavier riders or riders who ride fast or brake hard (all of which will create extra heat build up.
Zero 9 is an great scooter and Ride the Glide provides an excellent service! To keep the battery in better shape... What do you recommend?. Is better if charge the battery when is almost empty or at 20%....or could be daily no matter what % of battery level is, or at least once per week??
Is it easy to get more batteries for this bike ? How are things in Vic ? Currently I do not know when I will return to Vic but hope everyone is safe from covid19. Cheers
We are doing pretty ok here, thanks for asking! We've not had to replace any scooter's battery yet, but they are available as needed, as it becomes needed we will carry stock of the batteries.
Hi Mike. I had talked to you I think early last year about the unicycle and now surprised you got the e-scooters. I had bought one from xiaomi store in Shanghai and wanted to send it home but DHL refuses sending batteries. It was a upset and I had to sell it (Xiaomi m365). I might send my xiaomi ninebot mini without the battery and then order a battery from somewhere. Are these scooters you have another xiaomi brand ? what's the distance on a full charge in km and can it support 220lb ?
Ride the Glide yes. I read on reddit that someone with a zero 9 tried to charge his samsung galaxy 8+ with the the usb port, but it fried the whole throttle! Read all atwww.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/bpecqh/has_anyone_used_the_usb_port_on_the_lcd_for_their/
The Zero 10 is a very nice scooter and definitely worth the extra money for the extra power and range, in my opinion. But it does depend on what you are looking to use it for. I would suggest checking out Timothy West on here, he's reviewed most of the scooters we sell and I think you would find his thoughts helpful.
Thanks for the video. Hard to believe it only has a 220lb load limit when compared to others on the market. :/ I saw somewhere that the Zero 10 was not being released until Feb/March 2020. Is that correct?
Ride the Glide Hmmmm. I saw a company that had “Pre-Order” and “Coming in February” on the product page. Since then, I found out that was referring to another shipment coming in, not the actual first release of the Zero 10. Thanks though! 😎👍🏼
Having a hard time folding back my Zero 9, it feels stiff and I try to apply force to fold, but it just wont pull out from the socket, any tips? :/ also my scooter wont accelerate if I pull throttle while it's on.
Hi, where did you purchase your Zero 9 from? It's possible they have programmed the kick function in which case the scooter will have to be moving before the motor will engage. As for the folding, you'll need to simultaneously push forward on the handlebar and down on the folding lever. If it's still not going you may need to back off the set screws which are located in front of where the locking pin sits in. There is one on each side and you can back both out a 1/4 turn and see if that helps. Be careful not to back it out too much as it does need to be tight to prevent it from folding up on you while riding.
@@RideTheGlide Okay, update. I was able to figure out how to fold and unfold the scooter, but now it's the engine start issue. It turns on, but I pull the throttle and it wont start up. Before it was able to start without leg movement. And I purchased this from Falconpev.
@@giovanni2910 It's possible if you entered the settings, or accidentally entered the settings, and changed to the kick function from the zero start. When your display is turned on does it say zero start on the right hand side of the speed?
@@RideTheGlide Yes. It says Zero Start. I'm assuming it's something internal that happened to the hub motor.. or maybe the brakes as you stated in the video, but both my brakes work. Maybe it's the connection between the throttle and the motor?

Sorry, Corninne I'm from the US, but I live in Vietnam. E scooters haven't really caught on here yet. I actually haven't even seen one. lol My Vietnamese friends think I'm crazy and weird for wanting to drive on in the traffic over here, but I actually think it would be better than a motorbike for most trips. The traffic over here pretty much tops out at 35km an hour unless you are on the highway. Even on the highway, the max motorbike speed is still really slow with the speed limit of 50km an hour.
Hi Aapo, thank your for reaching out! I'm sorry but I do not know what the cost would be in euros. At this time we only ship within Canada, so it might be irrelevant to you. There are retailers in Europe, we would suggest you do a google search for an authorized reseller of the Zero scooters

Should we place an open box cutter under the front tire then roll the front tire over the blade as we set the scooter up?
