They had seen only 1 seal pup..on snow on the land. The ice is totally gone where they were. It was so sad! So, Brodie...live long and well!!
Polar bears live in icy tundra but due to climate change the tundra habitat is melting so Zoos in grassy areas will rescue the polar bears as needed. Polar bears loose fat in warmer temperature so they don't get overheated and can withstand warmer weather in Zoos. Polar bears in AZA Zoos also have access to ice and cold water.
