I just upgraded from a 1660 Super to a 3060 Ti just a few days ago. The 1660 Super ran basically everything without any major flaws for the 2 years I had it until recently.
@@bodasactra I know i could've got something better, but it basically fulfiills my needs and I play on 1080p so the 3060 ti is perfect for my daily usage.
a 1660 super in my experience is a great card. I've personally been running paired with a 5600x and it is awesome price to performance. Although I am looking to upgrade soon, I do highly recommend it if you are just getting into the pc game and want to test the water, or on a budget. Great video!
High airflow case with solid panel 😖😖😖
With cases implementing back vents now it seems like solid panel cases are atleast higher airflow than what they were. Still would probably go with mesh if possible to lose a few degrees.
Unless you're running an i9, it's fine.
@Fl1ckz_TTV there are no "011D" style side intake vents on this case. I would like to see GN Steve's opinion on the high airflowness of it. Doubt it's good.
@@stephanhart9941 yeah wasn't saying this one specifically. But some solid panel cases are built the be good with airflow now.
@@joelconolly5574 It isn't, I'm running a case with an i5 and a front panel that's probably about 1/4 mesh, 3/4 solid. It's got plenty enough fans and a pretty decent air cooler. However the temps are still very high.
Definitely paid too much for mine but there were few cards that fit my build without too many drawbacks.
only thing that would scare me away would be the DVI, had a 1660 Super before and it didn't have a DVI port
we love bitfenix around here, personally have the tg nova mesh red and black, probably about to build a new pc with another one of their cases

So far best price/performance deal would be a used rx 5700 xt. Especially if you plan to build a linux machine you can also game on.

In Indonesia, the price for the VGA Aisurix 1660 Super is 153.59 dollars. while the RX 6600 from RX7 costs 145.30 dollars.

I paid $280 for my 1660 Super back in the day from Micro Center and it's been a very solid card for years. Same performance as a 3050!
`I paid like 400 for mine (The middle of the shortage) and I looked at the Test and came to the same conclusion... Until I got my 3050.. Its a larger gap than I thought it would be.

@@FrankelysHernandez they have virtually the same benchmark scores. 3050 is marginally better but for over 100 dollars more MSRP it's not worth it at all.

@@FrankelysHernandez ti is slightly better again, but the price to performed ratio isn't good. Theres a reason you see 1660 supers in almost every budget build. It's a great budget card
I tried 2 of these. One of them had display drop outs. Both had no ability to set a 0 fan speed.
(1200 rpm idle)
And both have a design flaw where the card cannot fully seat itself as the backplate hits the GPU release tab causing it to feel seated, but not actually locking in.
Other than that they were great, but I returned them both as the 580 8gb from them I got is flawless. Aside from needing color calibration(too much red and a little too much green).
these cards are a total scamm they reuse old mining cards and memmory chips which are near of the end of their life but great that toastybros promote scamms like this (and yes they probably know about it youtube is full of these cards)

I couldn't find a 6600 for $200, but $210 is still pretty good and a justifiable increase in price over this.
A used gpu is definitely way better value than this

shit my msi is clocked at 2060 Mhz overclocked and works smoooooooth shes cool cause msi has a great cooler on this thing and works like a champ
I bought one of these, got it and they had sent me the 5500xt. I just sent it back and bought the PNY 1660Ti for $40 more

i traded my old GTX 1070 for a chinese branded 1660 super last year and its SO much better
I’m still running a 1070Ti and getting more fps running games on medium/high which still blows my mind. Even more FPS then friends running 2080s or 3070s. Not sure how but it’s happening.

The 1660 super is a nice card that has done my family well for years. Even recently "downgraded" a family member to it because of Fortnite not playing nice with their AMD card.
It's major flaw isn't its own fault. it's just that AMDs 6600 happens to be selling for usually the exact same price right now.

I don't know how I feel when you use FSR in the benchmarks. That makes for semi-artificially high FPS numbers which get more clicks and sell more GPUs, but it's kinda skeezy.
It's like praising a GPU that can run Fortnite with 'competitive' settings with 60fps..... When most APUs can do that, it's not an honest thing to praise a GPU for.
But hey, I don't own a PC company, and everyone else does the same thing anyway, so who am I to judge dredd?
no I agree with this point. Its like when nvidia said the 4070ti is 3x better than the 3090 but in the slides they used dlss 3, so basically its not telling us anything.

At least it runs nice and cool in that gpu cooler. My 1660 super runs 20c hotter in the asus tuf gaming cooler

no, even if its actually 'new', the cooler is trash and warranty is unknown if its good or not...
just opt for a used gpu in your market, you can find better models (5600xt-5700xt-6600-2060super etc) cheaper, some even warranty left on them if you care about it.
