This is much needed video, as a guyanese man of mixed heritage part of it being Indian Tamil, many tamilians were treated the same as Africans and thus lost their identities due to their similar look so not all Indians kept their identities.
With regards to the Africans not keeping their traditions, please look closer because it has survived in the diaspora. I myself live In the diaspora and have seen the traditions

And when Rohan Kanhai hit Sarfaraz Nawaz for 28 runs in one over in the same World Cup, I wished to God that he should be in India's team; where our little master Gavaskar just did not understand the meaning of One Day cricket. It was only in 1978 that I came to know that Rohan Kanhai is a Hindu and that the British took Indians (Hindus and Muslims) as slaves to Guyana to work on the sugar plantations.

Vikram Razdan.. Hi Vic. They were not taken as slaves By The British to West Indies ,Fiji ,Mauritius . They were given false promises and fooled. They were told that these lands had huge "GOLD Nuggets" lying along the road sides. It's A land of Milk and Honey and they could earn huge monnies and send back home etc etc.
Once there they were virtually enslaved. They were brought under Agreements. Indentured Laborers. But the Agreements were made with subsidiary Co's that The British Died out to avoid legal Actions Against the British.
This happened in Fiji few yrs ago. They tried to Sue The Co. CSR { Colonial Sugar Refinery } that brought them but
CSR said the contract was with a subsidiary co. that is no more. CUNNING BRITISHERS thought this out 150 to 170 yrs ago.

Also from last few years I am hearing news of Guyana Hindus converting to Christianity. As we all know Hinduism is not structural religion but natural religion.
We have to start Vedic schools in Guyana, India and Indonesian which will teach Vedas and science to next generation so that they will not fall prey to these Abrahmic religions which are very aggressive in finishing multiethnic and diverse communities.

There are two main reasons why conversions happen. One is when we don’t know about ourselves and the second is when we don’t know about the one who is trying to convert us. If we fix these two things I am definitely sure that we will be successful in not getting duped by mischievous people from abrahamic faiths.

In the year 1981, I got a chance to go to Gyuana. I was working with Merchant Navy, and our ship landed at the seaport of Georgetown. Our ship was to load raw sugar from there to France. To my surprise, I noticed Hindi songs being played on radio. First of all, I thought that device could be a tape-record, but it was a radio. I asked that gentleman how is he getting those songs from the other end of the world. He told me that there was a radio station in Surinam, and people there speak Hindi. When I settled in the United States, I met many of the people from Guyana, Trinidad. India was under the british rule, and they brought the Indians to work for them in different countries, like South Africa, West Indies, and Fiji. People of Indian origin still speak Hindi. When Panama Canal was built, so many Indians worked there. In New York City, I visited the Shiva Temple, which was built I believe on 110th street north of Northern Blvd. in Queens. People from Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana have built that temple. Most of them are very soft spoken. Indian people in all these countries have gained political powers, such as Prime Minister, President etc.

When I was in Philippines, I was surprised to find out that the entire Hindu community there had converted to Christianity. They celebrated Diwali as an auspicious day, but with a service from the pastor. In Indonesia, Hindus were converted to Islam by the Arab traders in 16-17th century; they still celebrate Dusshera with Ram Lila, but as a cultural event. I have seen several Indonesian Muslims wear a locket of Shri Ram on them.

@Essequibo river Amazona do your research if your religion allows you to .converting dosent mean RIGHT and justified or DEVINE at all . Christianity is full of FEAR and making people live with foolish ideologies like wise islam … funny but TELL WHY YOUR OWN PEOPLE ARE DEMOLISHING CHURCHES in europe? but my DHARMA allows me to respect and see the same divine that we are thought , by this you proved you know absolutely nothing about SNATAN DHARMA ( HINDU ) thankfully . so brain storm and allow your true human side to evolve . this wont go long , because SANATAN doesn't need cheap tricks (converting drama) to survive .
