I do themed baskets for my kids. My 2 youngest (8 and 9 yo boys) love playing D&D with my husband so they are getting D&D baskets, my 15 yo son is taking graphic design classes in his high school and loves them so he’s getting a basket with some graphic design stuff in it. My daughter is 17 and she loves reading so her basket is all books and reading related items, plus a few merch items from some fandoms I know she likes.

The pop-it toy you got specifically for your son with dyslexia made me cry. My husband has dyslexia and growing up his parents and some teachers just didn’t do much to help with it. I wish he had gotten stuff like that, and support he needed to feel like he was capable of learning like the other kids. I’m currently pregnant with my first baby- a boy, and seeing this video has made me excited to have a son. And if he does have dyslexia or another learning disability I am excited to be able to use what I’ve learned in my bachelors degree along with current research and children’s toys/products to help make him feel like he is just as smart as the other children and that he’s capable of anything :)

I do themed baskets for my kids. My 2 youngest (8 and 9 yo boys) love playing D&D with my husband so they are getting D&D baskets, my 15 yo son is taking graphic design classes in his high school and loves them so he’s getting a basket with some graphic design stuff in it. My daughter is 17 and she loves reading so her basket is all books and reading related items, plus a few merch items from some fandoms I know she likes.

The pop-it toy you got specifically for your son with dyslexia made me cry. My husband has dyslexia and growing up his parents and some teachers just didn’t do much to help with it. I wish he had gotten stuff like that, and support he needed to feel like he was capable of learning like the other kids. I’m currently pregnant with my first baby- a boy, and seeing this video has made me excited to have a son. And if he does have dyslexia or another learning disability I am excited to be able to use what I’ve learned in my bachelors degree along with current research and children’s toys/products to help make him feel like he is just as smart as the other children and that he’s capable of anything :)
Yes, Ezra is a very smart kid who also happens to be very effected by his dyslexia. He learns differently than the rest of our kids. 🥰

That keyboard pop it is so cool! I am dyslexic and still struggle with it. I don’t know if (I suspect) my almost 7 year old is dyslexic, but he’s always loved playing with keyboards and he’s neurodivergent so that one could be awesome for him.
I’m sure it would be very helpful and engaging for him to play with and reinforce spelling.

Omg, thanks for the ideas. I had already gotten crocs and I got a basketball and a taekwondo charm. I did end up getting $30 domionos card , battle royal thing, and the fidget toy. I had already gotten him a cross and rosary. Add some candy and sneakers and he is done. Sneakers being the obscenely big item. But yeah my son and daughter got crocs this year. Sigh.
