- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new what's in my kids' easter baskets video! I got them a lot of toys this year and went really light on the candy, which was the opposite from when I was raised... oh how times have changed. haha Some of my kids are allergic to chocolate aka dairy, so I just wanted everyone to go without to keep an even playing field, of course I have reeses eggs stashed away for myself.. muahaha...
anyway! I did get some dairy free candy so don't worry they'll get their cavities too. Hope you enjoyed seeing their easter basket fillers / easter basket ideas and I also included a haul from homegoods, tj maxx, and Target. Everything I got while I was shopping around becuase those were the main places I bought stuff from. I know most influencers buy all their goodies from Amazon so they can link it all... but I'm not at that level yet. haha

I was 6 when my oldest brother turned 10 and my Father decided "we" were too old for Eater Baskets. When my favourite Aunt found out she insisted I come see her on Easter. She had me go out to the Barn to open the big doors- inside was the biggest yellow Easter Basket I had ever seen in my young life! I could almost fit inside of it! I will never forget her. She was the nicest person I have ever met. And not including the candy! LOL Do we get bonus points in Heaven for being extra nice? Well I hope she did! 🤧🐰💋

I'm almost 40 and my mom still makes me a basket with candy, a gift card for coffee, and candle! So fun! I love getting my tween girls lots of candy, fun pens and squishy toys!

As a child, my Easter basket had jelly beans, a chocolate bunny, and circus peanuts (remember those orange awful tasting things?) I’d also usually get a pair of tights, a coloring book with new crayons, a jump rope (or Chinese jump rope) and always a yo-yo. Back in the 60’s, yo-yo’s were the thing to have! We would get new Easter clothes for church, a dress that usually came with a bonnet and gloves. And we’d always pose for pictures near the tulips planted along the side of the house. Good memories!

You are so funny, I’m laughing into my coffee at 5:30am when my little guy got up too early. 😂❤️Last year all the good Easter stuff was gone so I made coupons for my then seven year old for her eggs like “popcorn and movie night”, ice cream for breakfast”, and “nail painting with Mom.” She loved them!🥚🎟

We grew up getting only candy in our baskets. It was a ton, and now my kids get a few toys, some candy, and an Easter egg hunt.

Most of the UK don't celebrate Easter like this. It's usually just an Easter egg but it's lovely to see how others celebrate ☺️

My daughter used to do the same thing at Meredith's age. She'd pack up a backpack with her toys, put on her sunglasses, a straw sunhat and her crocs... Then be like "Come on mama!!"

I was bunny obsessed as a kid! My parents always got me and my brother a giant chocolate egg with a small toy inside, and then my dad would take us to the dollar store and let us pick out some cute Easter goodies, bubble wands, stuffed bunnies, pencils, etc. As an adult now I appreciate it so much bc we immigrated to the US and in our home country these things were not common. They did their best to always make us feel included in American traditions.
My daughter's basket has been ready for about a month 😂😂😂 so excited to see what you got for your kiddos!
We always got a big basket of candy and a few small things. Maybe a small cheap toy, a new hairbrush/hair ties and maybe a shirt.

We were very poor growing up. Our Easter baskets were mostly Easter grass 😂😂
We always got candy no toys. I loved it 🥰
Growing up (and still today even tho I am 25 and my siblings are in their 30s!) We always got a good mix of candy, toys and practical items. So we would get snacks, the typical easter candy, clothes, etc. I remember when I got a little older, one year I got nice shampoo/conditioner and makeup!
I always overbuy. I have 4 kids too! When I was little we never got toys/ thing in our easter basket it was always 1 huge chocolate bunny and a few small eggs and that was it! My kids however get a little bit of candy and lot of other thing.

I never got the standard Easter baskets! I didn’t know that was a thing until I was an adult lol. My parents used to hide chocolates and presents around the house, and I would have to hunt around for them. There would be little Cadbury creme eggs in the dish cabinets, on top of the thermostat, on window sills etc. It was so fun!! Big chocolate bunnies behind the curtains lol. I still have a fluffy stuffed sheep and a mini Cadbury bunny from when I was a kid. Definitely doing the same for my kids in the future

My Dad would always put a little bit of candy and a toy. As I got older, I would get a CD yay 90's kid over here haha. I have 3 kiddos ages 14, 7 and 1 . I put a couple of their fav candies in each. The oldest got a Stranger Things T shirt, middle I put an sports ball and baby girl a little doll. I like to keep it as simple as can be. I feel like kids today are so "blessed" as it is.
We never had Easter baskets growing up! Oddly enough I never realized that other kids got baskets until well into my teenage years lol

My mom normally gave us stuff wrapped in a little throw blanket so there was no basket or she did it in a new backpack for us. Depended honestly what we needed that year. We’d get one or two small toys and then our favorite kind of Easter candy. There are 4 of us so she did an amazing job providing for us every year

Growing up me and my siblings had dietary restrictions too. We got a couple of safe treats (like PEZ, Big League Chew, etc.), but we got mostly toys, games, crafts/hobby items, gift card, money, needed items, electronics, books, jewelry, etc. We also got a few bigger gift items, as well as what was in our Easter eggs.
As a child I loved April, because yesterday was my birthday but also I used to get a new Easter outfit, usually an outside toy and some candy, what great memories, I'm sure these will be great memories for your kiddos also.

Growing up with my brother and sister we always woke up on Easter morning with our baskets on the stairs. Each basket had more candy than it did toys. Usually the toys were picked out individually for each one of us. There was usually one big toy. The rest was candy in plastic eggs, some of which had one dollar bills in them. I love Easter

Fun baskets! I’ve always loved Easter. Growing up I would go to the community Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids. Plastic eggs with candy in them. For Easter Sunday we would wear our new Dress to go to church service. Came home for a big Easter Lunch/dinner. My parents would give us the already made Easter baskets from the store.

I recognized the tags as soon as you showed them, I follow Brittney and her company simply etched. The tags look great with you baskets that are also filled with so many fantastic goodies I love them.
Always had a Easter basket growing up all chocolate eggs of different sizes with little stick on chicks for decoration all in a large basket with a handle wrapped up with cling wrap and huge bow.

I’ve never had personalized Easter baskets. They were always the premade store bought ones. But one time I do remember I stayed the night at my friends house and the next morning we woke up with a basket next to our heads for each of us that was personalized for each of us, it had cute mini nail polishes and candy and that good fun stuff. Thats one core memory I’ve never forgot. I loved it💗
So now that I’m a momma of 5, I go waaaay over board with their baskets lol, my inner child just exploding into their childhood.

How can I have so much to say to one video?! First, my husband listens to Franzl Lang and I thought for a minute that's who you were going to show! Also I still have a few of my college towels, which would be 31 years ago that I got those. I felt that matching towel dream in my soul! There are certain things I gave a really hard time reasoning in my frugal heart.... And other times that I just throw all caution to the wind😂 Not only does is water good for the soul...
