Thank you!!! We need more music like this. I grew up with the Hymns and my church uses the hymns. I also love the "modern" christian music, but too many are being led away from these tried and true hymns for more upbeat and energetic music. People get "bored" listening to these hymns. However, the Holy Ghost speaks to me so powerfully through these. I loved this rendition you did! Please don't stop doing these.
I know that the abridged version is easier, but I wonder if somebody is going to do the full original Robinson poem. Maybe Acapeldrige soon because he's doing the originals from that new hymnal?
Interesting that you mention that! I have a copy of that hymnal and considered including the fourth stanza, but opted to stick with the more familiar version this time. I’ll bet Michael would do a great job with this one!
